Tend to the garden in panoramic views of rolling vineyards, dotted with livestock and bush with back drop to Mount Alexander. Assist with animal husbandry, farm duties and there is always lots to be done in my large organic vegetable patch.

Turtle Rock is a 2.5 acre property with 200 m Coomera River frontage. Platypus and turtles are in the river...and it's a great place for a cooling swim. Wallabies are seen everyday munching on the grass. Many native birds seen each day. I have been here 18 months and am in the early stages of re-establishing raised garden beds where organic vegies can be grown that can be taken to my daughter and son's families each week. We pump water directly from the river. I have 5 free ranging chooks so plenty of lovely fresh eggs always on hand. It's an architecturally designed 4 bedroom house with polished wooden floors throughout. Local town is Canungra which is 20m drive. Gold Coast beaches are about 45 min away. Local market at Nerang on Sundays and a couple of good organic suppliers there...always an enjoyable visit.

I am wanting to learn new skills which I can take back home, and experience a different style of living, away from offices and big cities. As a WWOOFer I would really like to see more of rural Australia as I particularly enjoyed Tasmania.

Hi there lovely travellers! Sam (37) Clara (31) and Reilly (1.5) here. While Reilly was just a twinkle our eyes, Clara and I spent 4.5 years travelling Australia in our awesome veggie oil-powered Landcruiser, searching for the most beautiful spots to set up camp and call home for a week or two. After our first 3 month tour of Tasmania, we just fell in love with the place, returning every summer for more of the same. Somehow we just knew we'd end up here. As we travelled, we gained a real appreciation for simple living and developed a taste for the best organic local food sourced from farmers markets as we went. This just helped fuel the dream of a beautiful camp to set up in permanently, and do our best at living a low impact, natural, self-sufficient, homesteading lifestyle. When 6 months pregnant, out of the blue, the bank of Dad called up and offered a loan to help make our dream come true. And we‘ve always dreamed big.

Our property is an eco-tourism retreat in a large private habitat reserve, 50 minutes south from Hobart Tasmania. Lots of birds, wildlife, forest, walking tracks. Variety of tasks, including construction, firewood cutting, walking track and cabin maintenance. As Covid has reduced our tourism activity, most tasks are physical and outdoor, associated with property maintenance. Few of the tasks are cabin housekeeping, so if cleaning and guest services are your preferred main activities, you might be happier at a different property.

We have a six acre property half way between Sarina and Sarina Beach which we purchased 14 years ago. The six acres was cleared with very little vegetation or trees when we purchased. We have created zones on the property with over 200 different fruit trees, a rain forest and many other garden zones. We are now in the process of converting our house yard to a zone 1 and make it more productive. We have a large flat that is fully self contained with all amenities adjacent to our home. We have several rain water tanks which supply the house and flat We are very fortunate to live in a community with many other permaculturists, which we come together on a fortnightly basis to swap produce, learn and share skills. Our property supports a large cross section of natural wildlife and we also have many bee hives for our Natural and pure honey supply. I use our home grown produce for our homesteading needs. Our property is on a hill with a wonderful view facing Mt Chelona hence our property is called Chelona View. We live 5kms from Sarina Beach, which is a picturesque walking and fishing beach. We are also close to Finch Hatton Gorge and Eungella National Park. Airlie Beach is only hours drive north of Sarina.

I have joined wwoof to meet the people who are interested in me and my journey round Australia as much as I am interested in their story. What has bought you to this point? I believe that travel should not just be for the wealthy and see the woof scheme as a great facilitator in dispanding that myth. I believe that the scheme is about good experiences and interactions not just cheap labour. I will work hard but only if I think the attitude and outlook of the host is viewed as a reciprocal and fair exchange. happy to work 5 hours a day on average with days off to enjoy the local area and surroundings. But the work must be varied and interesting, that being said I do know the nature of a fair days work as have worked hard my whole life. I am happy to undertake tree work this would be at a reduced rate, but enough to cover my skill set and maintenance of my gear. If this is of interest let me know.

I joined because I wanted to find agricultural hosts / teachers who were also interested in nutrition and sustainability and since WWOOF is organic only it seemed like a better choice than workaway.

Set in the Adelaide Hills, 'Wildflowers' is a beautiful 28 acre property that has seen a 49 year history as an semi self-sufficient organic hobby farm. There is an ancient apple orchard and two house gardens, plus chooks. There is heritage bush land which is home to kangaroos, koalas and possums. 3 humans, 2 dogs, 5 chooks and 3 working therapy horses live at 'Wildflowers'. The place is set back from the main road in a secluded 'bowl' and it is like entering another world. Our facilities are basic, no frills, rough, real and lovely. We are offering 2 options for accommodation, an off grid vintage caravan in native bush, and a vintage caravan nearer the house with electricity connected. Alternatively you can bring your tent. Beautiful 300 acre farm which we run wool sheep, alpaca, house cows, horses, chickens and bees. Although we've been farming all our lives, we've only been on this farm for a few years so we are still setting up. In addition to looking after the farm and animals we are growing vegetables and setting up an orchard.  We love our farming lifestyle and are always looking to enjoy and improve our farm. Its great having people come and enjoy the farm with us and join in the lifestyle. We are keen to explore ideas such as care farming and social enterprises. We have a nice new self contained donger set up with kitchen, toilet, bathroom, aircon for you to stay in or your welcome to bring your own caravan etc.

After leaving my retail job of 3 years I'm looking for an adventure, a chance to learn new skills and to pursue the things that make life worthwhile. I want to travel around Australia, I'm really interested in plant propagation and would love the opportunity to help out somewhere that I can learn more about it.
