We are a small family run farm, organically breeding and growing heritage Chickens. As Organic Farmers, we use regenerative farming methods, and holistically manage the land to ensure sustainable living, healthy soils, and optimal animal welfare. We do not use any chemicals, artificial additives or antibiotics; to guarantee that our Chickens are happily grown the way nature intended. We have 160 acres 25km West of Albany, with a thriving vegetable garden grown in our own compost as well as adjisting cows which rotationally graze the pastures.

The first big interest of working in wwoofing is to meet good people willing to share with us some time and knowledge. As we both are nature and animals lovers we have turned to wwoofing as it seems to be a fair way to spend time in Australia

All Foods Farm is situated in Buffalo, South Gippsland , Victoria. The farm has been operating since 2004 and is run on sustainable agriculture and permaculture principles, with emphasis on organically grown, fresh produce. As sustainable property we grow a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, mostly as older styles and heritage varieties. With a mixed orchard of apples, pears, stone fruits and berries we supply our customers with fresh, seasonal produce that they rarely get to experience when shopping at any large scale supermarket. In the picking season for fruit we attend local Farmers markets. Our current project is establishing our shop frontage directly from the property.  We are a bit more than a hobby farm, but not quite  a commercial farm.

I joined WWOOF because when I was studying in Tasmania and traveling around, I met many WWOOFers from all over the world who had all really enjoyed their experience traveling around Australia this way. When I returned to the United States after studying in Tasmania, I got connected with some local organic farms near my home university in Colorado, where I worked as an intern and taught other community members about the importance of organic agriculture. Now that I am finished with my degree, I want to travel back to Australia and experience different styles of organic agriculture while exploring the beautiful country.

I joined Wwoof because I like to try out new things. I am very excited to meet locals and to see what the australian farmlife is like. I love being outside in general and i would be very happy to be directly in the australian nature. I also want to learn some farmwork, because that is where all the food in the supermarket comes from.

Beautiful 280ha property just an hour north of Perth. High in the Darling Range, overlooking Lake Chittering. We are currently building a house and a small cottage mostly using the materials found on the property. Mudbricks are handmade, timber cut and milled on the property, stone collected from the paddocks and sand dug up. Doors, windows and numerous other materials are recycled. We also run sheep, poultry and grow hydroponic tomatoes.

In our previous job roles, we were used to online and office-based work and we are both eager to get our hands dirty, learn some practical skills and see physically a job well done. We are looking to explore more of country Australia, learn skills relevant to making our own lives more sustainable and meet some interesting people along the way,

Beautiful 300 acre farm which we run wool sheep, alpaca, house cows, horses, chickens and bees. Although we've been farming all our lives, we've only been hon this farm for a few years so we are still setting up. We are also growing vegetables and setting up an orchard. We are  working on improving our land through revegetating and addressing erosion. We love our farming lifestyle and are always looking to enjoy and improve our farm. We use little chemicals or none and are old fashioned in how we view our farm and work. We enjoy our horses and training our working dogs.  We believe in dignity and respect for all, the animals, the land and the people.

Enjoy the river and beach lifestyle while staying on our sustainable oyster farm on the beautiful Crookhaven River. Comprising a land base and 10 hectares of water leases, the farm is located in popular holiday destination Greenwell Point in a friendly co-op of oyster farmers. The Crookhaven River is part of the Shoalhaven estuary, an area of outstanding natural beauty on the NSW south coast, 2.5 hours south of Sydney. Work includes assistance with Aquaculture practises including the cultivation and harvest of Sydney Rock Oysters. General farm assistance includes both land based and water based work. This farm offers an exciting opportunity to work on the water in a calm river estuary with an experienced boat operator. In your spare time, you can take our kayak around the river, surf at nearby beaches or go on a hike through bushland with amazing views and wildlife. For those without their own transport we have bicycles to ride to the local shops at Greenwell Point. The nearest town, Nowra, is a 30 minute bus ride and offers a cinema, cafes/restaurants and shopping. Accomodation includes a comfortable, fully self-contained cabin for up to 2 people on site, separate to our home. Food is provided (vegetarian/vegan can be accommodated) to be heated by WWOOFers or prepared in own accommodation. The farm is accessible by train from Sydney to Bomaderry train station, where we will pick you up from the station and take you to the farm. If you are coming from Melbourne by train, we can pick you up from Moss Vale station, which is about 1.5 hours drive from the farm.
