I have chosen the Ranchwork and Travel program in Australia because I want to get to know the farm life in other countries and to improve my skills. But also Australia is very attractive for me, especially the extraordinary flora and fauna. Being in Australia has been one of my biggest dreams since childhood.

I hope my profile could arouse interest, I would be pleased to get to know you!

In February I will graduate and in March I will move to Australia. It has been a dream for too many years and at the end I decided to book a one-way ticket to Perth. I will stay there for a year ( I hope) and would like to live as many new experiences as possible. The only thing I know is that I want to live my life to the utmost and do not want to have any regrets. Since the moment I realized that, I decided I wanted a brand-new start, so here I am!

WWOOFing is for me probably the more valuable way (money and experience at the same time) to discover a region, and the people who live in. Also, what are you doing with your climate / customers / place / etc...

I want to learn more practical skills about organic farming and the (often elusive) aspects of the natural world, and meet more people who share those values.

I just want to spend some time in nature and learn about some organic/ sustainable farming. Growing vegetables, fruits, helping with the animals. Basically helping in whatever they need and learning as much as I can. I have previously done woofing in Italy and I really enjoyed it so wanted to try it in Australia.

I would like to learn about organic farming and the local life in Australia. I was a Wwoofer in 2015 in New Zealand and stayed for one week with a family. I did some gardening, weeding, animal care and played with the kids. I really enjoyed the because because for me it is the best option to meet locals and learn from their lifes. Before I will start my next job in Germany, I want to clear my mind and regain new energy with a stay on a farm in Australia. This year we would like to start planting our own veggies and fruits in Germany and I hope I will return back to Germany with more experience and useful advices.

I joined WWOOF because: 1. I refuse to be just a normal tourist, running around, photographing things and rushing on. So I want to experience Australia from the australian point of view. 2. I want to learn new things and skills, whether farming practices or skills with tools or animals. I am just open to anything.

Even though I know exactly what kind of job I want to do, I don’t feel ready to start an independent working life in a city as big as Paris yet. I grew up in the suburbs, surrounded by nature, quietness and a breathable air. When I was a kid, I used to scout with my friends during week-ends and summer holidays. We camped and hiked in the forests and the mountains, crossed small rivers, farms or fields as far as the eye could see. Discovery, adventure, nature, surpassing oneself, those are the words that truly define my scout experience. I always knew I'd need to go back to those kinds of experience in the future. So here I am, doing a gap year between my last two final years of study so I could experience wwoofing in Australia. It’s an opportunity for me to take a break from this predefined pattern of student and professional life in order to reflect and to refocus on what I'm ready to do. Discovering Australia has always been one of my dreams. I look forward to arriving in this country with so many beautiful diverse landscapes. I believe that wwoofing is the best way to be fully immersed in Australian life and culture, meet new people and improve my English.

We are a family with 2 children traveling around Australia to learn more about organic farming experiences. In our homeland, Brazil, we have been working with agroforestry systems for 10 years, and we are seeking to deepen and exchange knowledge. We are especially interested in learning about feijoa crops.

WWOOFing is a great way of getting started in a new country. It gives you time to explore an area and plan your travels while not spending money in accommodation. It's also a nice way of getting to know the customs of a place you've never been to before.

I joined WWOOF because I do not just want to be another tourist in Australia. I want to experience the country, its people and culture with a more concrete approach. After a ton of research, I came across WWOOF and it seemed like what I was looking for.

I have a dream to start my own animal assisted therapy practice with Alpacas. I have a little experience with Farm life; but am keen to get a proper taste of life on a farm. This is also a great opportunity to get out of my comfort zone and learn from new people in new places. I'm particularly interested in learning how to handle and care for livestock to be able to bring skills back to my family who are reasonably new to the rural lifestyle.
