I joined WWOOF as I am looking for a new experience, learn new things and hopefully have a look into the Australian life. As I dont want to use my 3rd WHV yet and dont want to go home now because of Covid, I’ll apply for a tourist-visa. As I have time enough but want to spend my time here usefully, I would like to do some voluntering to get new experiences and help you out with an extra set of hands.

We live on 5 beautiful acres on top of Mt Tomah, 2 hrs from Sydney, in the Blue Mountains. This is a quiet part of of mountains which is lush and peaceful. We are vegetarians and are interested in eastern philosophy and lots of other things. WWOOFers have their own separate accommodation with a lovely hot shower, and are normally required to help with keeping the property looking lovely. To meet like minded people. Help others and see where we can learn from each other. We have worked on big banana farms before but we prefer a small farm (especially permaculture). We care a lot about our planet and would love to help growing food as organic as possible. Sharing knowledge and caring for each other.

After working in this industry for about 7 years, I decided to take 6 months leave to have a little bit of a break from everything really.. Besides this I really want to learn more about farming, using my hands and being in nature- away from Sydney and to explore other skills I may or may not have.

I would like to travel around and meet local people of different backgrounds and ideas, learn something about the area that I am traveling through, instead of passing by licking an ice cream. I am pretty easy going and hope to meet the same. Maybe share some ideas and laughs, contribute and hopefully learn something.

I joined WWOOF to learn new skills, to contribute to projects and places, to be able to have reciprocal exchange and to get to know a place, and the people that live there, by spending quality time together, and to support and help people to build on their projects and dreams. I have a dream of being a caretaker of land one day and so I'd like to learn more about different ways to do that. I also love meeting new people and like the sense of working together on projects.

By Wwoofing I hope to meet people and learn a little about the life in the beautiful vast Australia! I don't want to be a tourist only and would love to make myself useful! Besides I love nature and would love to volunteer on a farm, animal shelter, workshop or any other. And especially after the horrific bush fires maybe some people could use some extra hands. I enjoy working with my hands and as an engineer I have a very practical approach.
