In the future, I would like to be involved in agriculture and stock-farming. I am looking forward to working in the vast land, which is different from Japan. Above all, I want to study English in Australia. My English is still not very good, but  I want to learn about Australian culture and English by living with them as a wwoofer. If necessary, I would  like to share what I know about Japanese culture.

The only things I have ever missed when traveling is being able to really meet people and learn in the places I am visiting. I have lived in the city so long I realized that I don't have a lot of knowledge about growing food or being educated about biodiversity. I had a friend who had an amazing year wwoofing and I have been determined to make it happen ever since! I am really hoping to just be as present as possible and take in as much experience and conversation as I can. Mostly I'm just excited to be a part of it and try new things!

I am wanting a tree change. Tired of the city life. I also want to see some of this great country and give back to the backbone of this country. My plan is to have no fixed address for awhile. I have had a desire to work on farms for a long time and now is the time to make that move. I want to learn a whole lot of new skills and put those skills to use by helping out our farmers. I want to develop my skills so I can farm sit, part time caretaker etc. I like Rural Aid’s Farm Army and Farm Rescues, I would love to assist more I'm looking to meet so many interesting and fabulous people and Wwoofing seem like a great way to do that. I'm wanting life to not be predictable and not the same #%*! different day kina of thing. I want new people, new landscape, new horizons, new challenges

Ok I would say see above. But as a sum up the concept of helping each other out, the host with accommodation and sharing their knowledge and way of doing things and the WWOOFer with their enthusiasm, hours of work and willingness to learn, participate and engage in the person/family's life as an immersive experience, to have hosts and WWOOFers grow together within the pursuit of a similar goal.

Since I was young, I have been interested in raising animals and managing crops, and I like to communicate with foreigners and make memories. Not only can I experience foreign cultures, but I also want to spend my vacation in a cool way. All the Australian memories and photos that I took about 12 years ago have been erased. Not necessarily for this reason, but after that, I have been missing those memories and I want to learn hard at a local farm in a foreign country and communicate actively with foreigners.

I’m interested in learning more about Australian agriculture, nature and house holding. I figured this was the best way to go about it. The way of the regular tourist doesn’t satisfy my needs for integration in local everyday life, and besides I really like physical labour and fresh air. I’m trying to find a place close to the sea, with good food sources and foraging nearby.

I feel happiest outside, and most productive moving and physically doing something. I also would like to do something that I feel contributes to others and to the land. I love learning and under the current circumstances feel that life-skills and survival skills are going to be the most valuable things to learn for the coming years.

I would like to learn about new skills that will help me get a job by helping me do things like harvesting and collecting eggs as well as milking cows and the transferring skills that could help me ultimately achieve my goal in advancing my career by being known as a hard worker.

It was always clear for us to take a gap year after school and before studying. After some research we´ve discovered WWOOF! It´s an unique way to discover Australia from an inside perspective – always in contact with locals. Additionally, we want to improve our English skills, meet new people and explore a new way of living in an interesting culture which is very different to the German one. Nowadays the majority of groceries are treated with pesticides and genetic engineering. So it´s very important for us to support organic methods. In general, we´re interested in learning about your working methods and achieving new skills. Especially working on farms makes it possible to stay active in nature. We both are pet owners so we enjoy spending time with animals and taking care of them. Furthermore we hope we´ll develop ourselves in new situations, far away from home, and collect memories that will stay in our head forever!

I'm looking to get some practical experience on farms. I'm currently not working so I now have time to devote to it. I've long been interested in permaculture and farming but more recently I have been had the time to do some decent research and I can now start to see a future in it for me.

Of course I’m WWOOFing to travel and see the world but what I’m really looking for out of this experience is to connect to nature and get some headspace, to learn new skills, to get my hands dirty, and to come away with more knowledge about the earth and it’s creatures, including myself. I’m really excited about learning all about organic farming in every way it’s practiced. I have very far off goals of someday having my own little spot of land, even if that’s just a big vegetable garden in a backyard, and am really passionate about sustainable practices and giving back to earth as well as only taking what is absolutely needed.

I have heard from friends and strangers alike what an amazing time they've had in their WWOOFing experiences and wanted an immersive and cheap way to travel & also learn about farming!

We would love to the chance to spend time enjoying a beautiful natural place and learn from hosts who are eager to share their knowledge. We are especially interested in staying with hosts who work closely with volunteers and are eager to get to know and learn from their WWOOFers as well. Some things we are interested in learning more about from hosts are small scale farming, animal care, cooking, how things are related in local ecosystems, indigenous culture, music/art. We are also drawn to spending time in Australia due to our shared heritages and are looking forward to having the opportunity to get to know more about our cultural background and the place where our parents are from.

WWOOF provides me the unique opportunities to encounter different hosts, like organic farm, restaurant, educational farm, eco-village etc. The works offered by hosts were such a new experience or trial for me, which I think I can't get it in Hong Kong. Japanese host sent me a picture when she got a new born baby and Korea host invited me to have a dinner when she came to Hong Kong. These are the reasons that pushing me to go wwoofing country by country.

I joined WWOOF in 2019 when I volontureed in California for 1 month and then in 2020 for 3 weeks near München in Germany. I’ve been dreaming to come to Australia ever since I was 15. Since I now have some time for myself, I've decided to finally discover this wonderful country !
