I have joined WWOOF to learn new skills and gain experience working in a farming environment. In the longer term, I am considering moving into a regional area and focussing more on working on the land and simplifying my lifestyle. I'm interested in understanding how people can make organic farming work for them and I am keen to get involved in physical work which I enjoy.

I joined to not only learn more about farm practices such as regenerative agriculture, but to also discover more about the amazing farm lands based outside of Melbourne. I am also here to learn more about myself and how my passion for organic farming could shape my life and career.

We joined WWOOF because we want to reduce our environmental impact and try to live our lives in a sustainable way. We are both quite practical but we would like to offer our time and energy to learn new skills from our hosts that we can take with us in our journey to becoming more self-sufficient. And of course we look forward to visiting all the places in Australia we've not yet explored!

We are travelling round Australia for a year after having completed year 12. We have a troopy that we set up for camping. We want to meet new people, make connections and friends, see new ways of working on the land and anything you guys have to offer!

Through 2021, I'm looking to experience intentional communities with organic leanings 🙂 Last year I house-sat in one of the older ecovillages, Crystal Waters. I'm beginning 2021 with a month in Maleny's newest ecovillage EVA. February to December stretch out ahead as great unknown. With Diana Leafe Christiansen's excellent 'Finding Community' in hand. Ideally I'll join each place for a month, learning more about different ways of being in community.

Ive hosted WWOOFers on our own property in the past as well as enjoyed the WWOOFing experience myself as a guest. I love manual work and being about in the dirt and sun - mostly I enjoy the socail aspect that comes along with a woofing relationship, my favourite kind of work life balance.

I have ALWAYS been interested in plants, trees, and nature in general from a wee girl. I dabble in my vegie garden out home, but l would like a better understanding of producing food, animals, or building knowledge on a larger scale in a natural environment. Hopefully l can take the experiences with me from what l have learnt on these farms and put the knowledge into my own farm in the near future.

I am joining WWOOF to spend more time in Australia before my study abroad in Townsville this summer! I love to work outdoors, am great with other kids, and have an amazing sense of adventure and thought that WWOOF would be a great way to explore the world a little!

To learn organic farming practices. To travel and meet people from all different backgrounds and farming techniques. To have some fun growing my knowledge on eco friendly farming. I believe there are so many better ways we can produce food power and other to people, then what is happening at the moment with sprays and all the rest.

I hope to learn new skills and meet new people. Plus, see different parts of Australia. I joined after I met someone who had also done WWOOF and recommended it as a way to see the world in a supportive way.

I believe the life in farms will be able to become useful experiences for me, not only improving my English, but also building dense human relationships. I'd like to make friends with the people who are living in Australia and other WWOOFers from different countries. I wish I have an opportunity to stay with people in different culture and work in a farm.

To gain some experience on organic farms, and practice organic farming techniques. Traveling around looking for potential farmland for lease. Happy to help with all farmyard work and chores particularly vegetable gardens. Looking for practice establishing composting systems and worm bays, and building garden beds from scratch. Also interested in pasture raised poultry.

We used WWOOF Australia before and loved it. It is a great opportunity to meet locals, to get to know the culture and help out on beautiful farms. We both love animals and met between golden retriever puppies.

I joined WWOOF to meet more likeminded people & learn more about SEQ and Northern NSW climate and seasonal foods. I want to meet organic fruit and veg growers. I had developed a lovely network of small scale veg farmers in the UK over the course of 2 years and now I would love to do the same in Aus seeing as I'm home now! I want to join in and swap stories with people who also love local food & more sustainable farming methods.

I have joined wwoof to meet the people who are interested in me and my journey round Australia as much as I am interested in their story. What has bought you to this point? I believe that travel should not just be for the wealthy and see the woof scheme as a great facilitator in dispanding that myth. I believe that the scheme is about good experiences and interactions not just cheap labour. I will work hard but only if I think the attitude and outlook of the host is viewed as a reciprocal and fair exchange. happy to work 5 hours a day on average with days off to enjoy the local area and surroundings. But the work must be varied and interesting, that being said I do know the nature of a fair days work as have worked hard my whole life. I am happy to undertake tree work this would be at a reduced rate, but enough to cover my skill set and maintenance of my gear. If this is of interest let me know.
