We are a small, organic, family owned & operated farm situated on the side of beautiful Mt Cotton, a 30min drive to Brisbane & 45min drive to Gold Coast Ashley is a 3rd generation farmer, still working alongside his parents on the land. We grow a mix of small crops plus avocados, citrus, custard apples & nut trees. We also breed heritage chickens, and keep a few head of cattle. We can always do with an extra pair of hands on the farm to help with the many daily jobs, including planting seedlings, mulching, weeding, pruning, mowing, picking, pollinating & caring for our chickens. We have a separate farm cottage accommodation for WWOOFers with toilet, shower & kitchen. We offer some shared meals, plus food provided from the farm for self-catering. Mixed diet. No children. We are on a 100 yr old Apple Orchard in the stunning Blue Mountains. We have 8000 trees and 80 different varieties of apples. We have also just started doing weddings and have one airbnb accommodation. I would explain our place as more of a boutique orchard. We are a small family run business. My husband Sam has been doing all the work himself but it's all getting a bit too much so we need some extra hands to help out. It's a stunning little spot with the iconic blue mountains escarpment views off the back of the property. Along with the apples we have 30 chickens, 2 Alpacas, 6 sheep and one Maremma dog. We are a friendly and warm family who are keen to get a helping hand.

'Huntly' is an organic cattle property in the beautiful Arcadia Valley in Central Qld. We run 2000 head of cattle that graze on natural pastures & are rotated regularly. We grow a 1000ha native forest, harvest seeds & propagate. We also grow a healthy food forest. A permaculture garden supplies an abundance of fresh food and supports our chickens, bees and turkeys. The accommodation is a creative cool mud house that will inspired & ground you. One must be frog friendly, the green tree frogs are beautiful. We hold a two day festival every Equinox (March & September) where we celebrate the changing seasons and pick a topic to explore and learn. This March we are delving deep into the health of soils with Alan Coates. Next Spring we will once again invite Tom and Zaia Kendal back for more on broad acre Permaculture. Huntly is a beautiful and exciting property to stay with many National Parks to visit on your days off. There are many opportunities and lots of fun to be had here.

Palm Creek Plantation is located 45km south of Townsville on the Bruce Highway, at the base of Mt Elliot. We were the first commercial grower of the Achacha in the world, and remain by far the largest with 16,000 Achacha trees. we sell the Achacha fruit within Australia and overseas - to the UK, Germany, other European countries, Hong Kong and Canada. The Achacha fruit comes from the Amazon Basin in Bolivia. It is similar in size to the lychee, rambutan and mangosteen, but has only one third the sugar content of these other fruits. Taste experts describe it as "sweet, tangy, refreshing - like a sorbet". It has excellent health properties. Check achacha.com.au for full information on the fruit and its story. I have been a WWOOF Host since December 2013, my original Host number was QT291   Checkout a Blog WWOOF Australia completed on us: https://wwoof.com.au/what-is-achacha-fruit-wwoof-in-qld-and-find-out-today/

We are nestled on 100 acres of stunning bushland in the midst of the Wattagan forest of the Lower Hunter Valley, 1.5 hours from Sydney. There is a wide variety of wildlife including lyrebirds, wallabies, echidnas and wombats, blue and fairy wrens, kookaburras, satin bower birds, black and sulphur crested cockatoos.  We are growing tomatoes, pumpkins, zucchinis, mustard greens, rocket, kale, broccoli, carrots, beans (all types), herbs (all types), citrus, and many other fruits and vegetables. We are in the process of developing a master plan for our property, having moved here in August 2018. We will be increasing the number of fruit trees, are continually expanding the vegetable gardens, and enjoy fresh eggs with our 9 chickens and 2 roosters (father and son). The property is situated on the crest of a hill, with a beautiful area for camping and meandering in the valley by a natural brook, and another area at the top for workshops and retreats which we plan to establish or host. Keith has a background in ag science and biotech start-ups (after a first career as a university professor); Brynnie has been growing not-for-profit organisations in the sustainability, health, digital media with Indigenous communities, and social justice space (after a first career in international corporate law) and has studied Zen Shiatsu. Keith has lived in Germany and Brynnie is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese (having lived in Brazil) and gets by in French. Our children are in their early 20s, in university, and Keith also has older children and young grandchildren. We moved to this property in 2018 after having lived in Sydney for more than 25 years.

We have a 20 acre property with Chickens, ducks, vegetables, fruit trees and cattle situated 20 minutes from Innisfail towards the Atherton Tablelands and approx 1 hour from Cairns. The property has a beautiful waterfall and the creek which is easily accessible for swimming and fishing. The creek makes up 2 boundaries of the property. The property was in a state of disrepair when we purchased it but slowly it is improving. We are hoping to get a two bedroom cottage up and running for holiday rental before the end of the year. Innisfail is a banana and pawpaw growing area so maybe some money could be earnt on a nearby property if your visa allows.

We are not a farm but a suburban home, 25 km from the centre of Sydney, with a large garden. Our WWOOFers mainly help us with gardening & painting, but in the last quarter of each year we have a project, making thousands of Christmas cakes which we give to charities who provide free Christmas dinner for homeless and needy people. From time to time we also donate food for other charity events & love to have help with this. We support several charities and we also host refugees on a regular basis. WWOOFers wishing to visit Sydney can take a bus from near our home to explore the city. Accom for up to 2 people in spare bedrooms. Children b.a. Mixed diet, including vegetarian. NSI.
