I'm Melbourne born and bred and I'm looking for a change to city life for a while. I've loved my WWOOFING experiences in the past and I'm keen to explore my beautiful state while working and helping and learning.

I joined WWOOF as I'm keen to learn more about soil health and growing food organically. I don't really have much experience in this area other than what I can read or watch...would love to get more hands on and learn from people who know their stuff.

I have some friends who have done WWOOFing who have told me it was the best thing they ever did. I've been desperate to get out of the city for so long, unsure of where to go or what to do or if I'm sure it's "what I want" etc, I've been hesitant to make the move. But I'm so ready to make that shift now, and I just want to learn and gain more experience in farming as that's where my passions lie. I would really love to learn more about sustainable agriculture/permaculture practices as I'd love to one day have a farm of my own on some property, so I'm open to any and all experiences! Currently I am unemployed and have been for some time, my work experience is as a cook in various cafes, but the food wastage in the hospitality industry was doing my head in and not aligning with my ethics so I quit for a time. The last place I worked at was great - it had it's own garden out the back and tried to grow as much produce as it could, with composting and worm farms, which I really loved (but sadly they closed). Ever since then I've been wanting to learn more about food production and how to incorporate it into every-day living in a sustainable way.

I’m really keen to learn organic farming techniques and learn new skills. I have a tiny bit of experience as my dad grew up on a dairy farm in Goomboorian and I spent time on relatives’ farm in Gympie growing up.

I joined WWOOF to learn and participate in the day to day tasks that come with running an organic farm and to provide the most help I can where needed. I seek to experience a lifestyle in greater alignment with the simplicity and harmony of the natural world. I aspire to one day create my own sustainable permaculture farm and hope that, through this program, I can connect with and learn from those who have already established themselves in this way of life.

I joined WWOOF to learn more about Australia while I travel and am out of work, to get out of the city, meet people and learn about regenerative agriculture and aquaculture. I want to own a farm one day soon too! I am in between jobs, I have been a flood engineer for a number of years but do not align with the lifestyle, do not agree with the implemented solutions and have burnt myself out from working in a city office on jobs that impact rural areas without ever visiting the site. I miss working with people and miss working on localised problems. I need a change and have always been drawn to agriculture due to my upbringing. WWOOFing for a while suits me.

A close family friend recommended this organisation and it resonates so much with me and my character. I love travelling and seeing new places, but I find it so much more fulfilling if I can also give back / contribute in some way, and learn new skills or knowledge in the process. This for me adds so much meaning + value to a trip. I am passionate about nature and the environment, I'm a hard worker, and have an easy going personality. I feel most at home when i'm surrounded by trees and birds! So many things in WWOOF seem very much in tune with my values, and I'm really looking forward to getting involved 🙂

We'd like to gain experience working on different properties, and pick up skills in sustainable living, farming, gardening, animal care and building.

We want to join WWOOF to live and learn with people who are living a life we are seeking to build for ourselves. Long term, we would like to start a permaculture retreat center in Morocco or Southern Europe, and are building the skills we need to do so. In a more short term basis, I would like to live in a farm and ideally work outdoors in the mornings and work on my book in the afternoon / evening. I find being in nature very inspiring. I have co-designed and facilitated different gatherings in retreat centers around the world, and would be happy to bring this knowledge as well to our hosts. My partner would like to learn more about permaculture, animal care, growing food and experimenting with fermentation.

I grew up in an organic winery owned by my family and we always had people all over the world staying and working with us. When I started travelling I got introduced to WWOOFing and it reminded me of my home and so far I only had lovely experiences!

Staying in a farm has been my childhood dream that is going to come true.

Since I'm into food, I started to curious about how the foods grow including vegetables or animals. Also interested in sustainable living practice which many WWOOF hosts are applying so I thought I could learn from them. I'm interested in organic/ permaculture practice, I thought volunteering through WWOOF is the best way to start with.

I joined WWOOF because of the whole idea of learning and helping and working with others. I'm also always excited about new experiences and learning new skills. It's also a great opportunity to do so by helping out, sharing, and meet new people. It would be an amazing way to experience Australia differently as a last experience there before moving back to Europe. Working with very produce-focused restaurants around the world these past few years, a more hands on experience, learning about general farming and organic practices makes a lot of sense.

I joined WWOOF in the hope to deepen my understand of where my food comes from as well as to give back to and support the organic produce community. I have been eating majority organic vegetables and fruit now for 2 years. I love to have my own veggie gardens, so I'm looking forward to learning more about growing food from the experts.

I want to learn more about farming and stuffff. Also I love to get to know new people and learning new experiences. I have done my first WWOOF experience in Canada with an oyster farm and it was incredibly fun! I enjoy local lifestyle and I think WWOOF is the great way to experience it!

I'm looking forward to the opportunity to meet interesting people (both wwoofers and hosts) around the country and share experiences, knowledge and ideas. I'm keen to learn new things and help out where I can. I've done a little bit of wwoofing in the past (not for a while), and I'm hoping to meet more like-minded people and contribute positively where I can. I'm particularly interested in learning more/helping out with self-sufficiency/off-grid living, sustainable homes/building, permaculture (keen to get a practical overview), soil, 'alternative' living arrangements, animal care (wildlife and domestic, particularly horses), ecotourism, bikes/cars/mechanical things, and other practical skills. I'd like to offer my skills and time to assist others where that would be useful for their work, property, or sustainable/enviro-friendly goals.

I joined WWOOF to learn new skills, to contribute to projects and places, to be able to have reciprocal exchange and to get to know a place, and the people that live there, by spending quality time together, and to support and help people to build on their projects and dreams. I have a dream of being a caretaker of land one day and so I'd like to learn more about different ways to do that. I also love meeting new people and like the sense of working together on projects.

We want to not just work for cash in our travels around Australia. We want to share our passion for food gardening, farmwork, DIY and travel, in exchange for a place to park our motorhome, for any length of time that suits us and our host. We want to learn new skills and also give our children an experiential education (Leela, Kathy's daughter, is home-schooled in between staying with her dad in WA; Jonas, Jason's son, stays with us during school holidays).

So why? I am planning to study a Diploma at the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in Feb 2021 specialising in making props and scenery for stage. I am currently in regional WA in a town called Kununurra but am looking to fill in some time between now and then by trying  my hand at some WWOOFing down south near Perth. Plus I'll get to see some new places and learn some new stuff so it sounds like a nice deal!
