We have a 70 Acre farm that has lots of animals.. almost a petting zoo some would say. It is on the amazing Baffle creek; located half way between Bundaberg and 1770; fishing and swimming all year round is amazing. We use old traditional farming practices and methods. And would love to educate you too.

We are on 3.5 acres, which doesn't sound like a lot but we are doing plenty on it. We keep chickens and ducks for eggs and meat. I regularly raise chicks and ducklings to keep the supply up, and there is an almost monthly 'dispatching' day. We also keep goats, for milk and cheese (although they are dry at the moment, and due for kids in Feb 2021). They help keep the scrub down as well as being super fun to watch. The vegetable gardens and fruit trees are many and sprawling.  With a variety of organically grown produce to feed my partner and myself.  The aim for our property is to become as self-sufficient as possible, to reduce the amount of waste that comes onto our land, and reduce the amount of money we spend on store bought products. We recycle, reuse just about everything, food scraps go to the animals, and what ever we don't eat gets composted (including bones!). Check out our profile for more info 🙂

We are Daniel and Fleur, an arborist and an artist, living on a beautiful organic 27 acre property in the Adelaide hills with our 3 year old daughter. We have 80 fruit trees, a big veggie garden, a Ginkgo Biloba plantation and 4 cows. We are currently growing the majority of our food and have a wonderful spring fed dam, which is great for swimming in during the summer months. Travellers with building skills will be very warmly welcomed, as we would love some help with a few small scale building projects. Other tasks would include gardening, pruning, landscaping, picking and preserving fruits and vegetables, cooking, fencing and tree work (with Daniel- a professional arborist). We currently have a spare room in our house with a queen bed for guests. If you're travelling with friends, and would like to have your own space, we also have some great glamping (fancy camping) options available. If you're travelling with Children you are very welcome - we're well equiped with a trampoline and kids arts space 🙂

Originally from Konstanz /Germany I have moved in 2018 from Sydney to Franklin/Tasmania.I have bought 7 acres of land( which used to be a raspberry orchard,)back in February 2019. There was nothing on the land apart from a shed and an overgrown dam. 18 months and a lot of effort later, I have establish what I call my basecamp:). I am connected to the grid, have plenty of rainwater in my tanks, a fireplace which keeps me warm and a well equipped workshop. I am currently working on my cottage, so anyone with building skills is most appreciated. Looking after my  ever growing garden, my 6 ewes or making firewood for the next winter is always on the todo list:)

We are a young couple rebuilding a small organic market garden on an intentional community. Green Shovel Farm is in recovery after being burnt out in the recent fires (YES THIS MEANS YOU CAN QUALIFY FOR 2ND/ 3RD YEAR VISA HERE!) and we were selling a good amount of produce at a local farmer's market and to some friends and family. We have a sheep and a goat, two horses, assorted ducks and chickens, and a toddler daughter. We live on an intentional community which is in its early years and growing well. The community is on 210 acres of amazing bushland, cliffs and rolling hills in the Nymboida village next to the Nymboida River (check out the white-water adventure stuff online!). Pick up and drop off from Grafton or Coffs Harbour with prior notice.
