We joined WWOOF because we want to join the organic food movement and learn new skills that we can apply in our own life, and do so while traveling in Australia. We love working outside, getting dirty, sweaty, sore and thirsty. We hope to produce some of our own food in the future, and have lots of questions and enthusiasm for learning about organic farming/gardening. Learning about crop tending and animal husbandry are goals we share and we see WWOOF as an opportunity to gain some experience while helping folks who are already on the organic journey.

We have a large property on the Stuart hwy between Katherine and Darwin. It was a caravan park but we are converting it into a small farm with accomodation. We are using natural building methods to build with. There is a spring fed creek on the property for swimming and it’s a very pretty place to be, close to Kakadu and other places you must visit in the Northern Territory. We are building an outdoor kitchen, bath house, garden beds, chicken coop etc. Life here is an incredible adventure and we’d love to share it! We love to play music, sit by the fire and work for pleasure.
