We are looking for up to 2 people to help feed cattle and sheep, and a handyman that would like to do some building, such as fencing. We have 1000 acres of native vegetation, 4500 acres of grazing country for farming & bee keeping, with red undulating soil. Volunteering on our farm includes sheep & cattle stock work, farm chores, fencing, organic gardening, milking cows, tending sheep, chickens & turkeys, pruning trees and whatever else needs doing. At the moment we have some baby lambs and calves that need to be fed and taken care of. If you are interested in learning something new and getting to know what life on an Australian Farm is like, you are more than welcome to stay with us. We love to get to know different people from other countries and are happy to teach you new skills. We hope that you will have an unforgettable and unique experience with us on our rural farm in the Australian outback. We generally prefer longer stays.

The past two years of living with Covid-19 has been taxing! As someone living in an urban city, life has pretty much been contained to the four walls at home. Am keen to be out and about in the sun, with the travel restrictions gradually easing worldwide.

It seems like a better way of working while travelling than the standard way of finding work, having that monetary relationship, worrying about where to live, trying to negotiate wages and all the other humdrum stuff. It sounds like the hosts are willing to share their knowledge, know how and experiences and be friendly at the same time. A very welcome change.

We have done a bit of travelling ourselves and one of the best parts about that is meeting new people and sharing stories and experiences. We hope to hear more interesting life stories and share our own experiences. And of course, we are keen to learn some new skills, particularly how to grow vegetables and care for the natural environment, care for different animals and pick up some general maintenance skills.

My work and studies shed an insight into why I want to start WWOOFing. I am passionate about sustainable resource management and agriculture but have spent most of my career at a desk.
I am itching to get outdoors and gain some practical skills and experience on the land. I grew up in the Hunter Valley and have fond memories of riding quad bikes, milking cows, and collecting eggs on friends' farms. I've had a bit of experience in tree planting, floral data collection and habitat assessments through my degree.

Since I was young, I have been interested in raising animals and managing crops, and I like to communicate with foreigners and make memories. Not only can I experience foreign cultures, but I also want to spend my vacation in a cool way. All the Australian memories and photos that I took about 12 years ago have been erased. Not necessarily for this reason, but after that, I have been missing those memories and I want to learn hard at a local farm in a foreign country and communicate actively with foreigners.

In our enthusiasm for organic vegie gardening, we have outgrown our suburban lot and are currently travelling around Queensland in our motorhome looking for a small hobby farm to develop with room for our vegie gardens, a mixed tropical orchard, keep mixed poultry and some aquaponics. So we want to expand our knowledge and experience by learning from people already achieving that dream.

Here it is natural farming methods of producing beef, fruit and vegetables that are used here.there are large veggie gardens and extensive fruit orchards with a big variety of fruit that bear during the season-trickle watering. This ensures juicy produce, the working dogs & horses require years of training, there is minimal reliance on machinery but a wood splitter machine has been a boon to getting the wood supply done, an axe has proved to be out of date, it surely minimises the amount of hard work. Chooks also help supply plenty of eggs when they are laying.

I would love to continue to build my skills in gardening, permaculture and natural building, and meet interesting people along the way. I have spent some time volunteering in Ladakh on natural farming projects, and in Australia doing some natural building, and would love to explore more volunteering options that involve herb, flower and market gardens. I am also very keen to learn about beekeeping and cheesemaking.

I was a WWOOFingchost on a 10 acre rainforest and bushland property north of Mackay Qld for nearly 10 years. It was one of the most wonderful, memorable experiences of my life. I got out of it as least as much as I put in - which was a LOT! We undertook revegetation projects, built a shack from mostly recycled materials, did loads of weed management, grew fruits, vegies and nuts organically and had an absolutely fantastic experience with our WWOOFers. I always said I'd love to do it myself and now I am. I can cook, clean, garden, follow instructions, respect your privacy, play scrabble and appreciate your place, pets and projects as much as you do. I'm currently deepening my yoga practice after 25 years of being a more casual fan. I love a chat but I also appreciate my own space/peace and quiet. I am travelling in a compact 4WD motorhome and left Qld in February 2021. Some power or water or use of an inside bathroom or laundry is always appreciated but not crucial. A little hut in the bush is always fun as I can spread out - but not too much! A spot to lay my yoga mat out is all I need. I do have a very cute, well behaved little dog but she has won hearts and changed opinions on dogs from one side of Australia to the other. Yes I realise that's a bit unusual. I've been doing a lot of house sitting and have great references to prove how housetrained and helpful we are. She is 10 years old and basically sleeps all day and night (in the moho). If you meet me or Daisy and don't think we are a good fit, we can just head on down the road. No worries! You won't be disappointed though. I love to learn and will be very happy to help you no matter how large, small or dirty the job. Plus I still have a lot of things I'd like to learn, so teach me and I'll really enjoy being a part of making YOUR dreams a reality. Having people in your home is a leap of faith and I've rarely been disappointed when the shoe was on the other foot. Give us a go.
