Short Property Description
‘Yin Barun’ is located in the foothills of the high country 2 hours from Melbourne on the beautiful Broken River. It is a mixed farm with cherries, wine grapes, Lucerne, pumpkins, veg, pasture fed sheep & cattle as well as wild foraged culinary mushrooms. In November the farm hosts the ‘Happy Wanderer’ music festival for 3 days that incorporates music, arts, yoga & creative/growing workshops.
Volunteering is very diverse including wild mushroom identification & foraging, picking, packing, selling cherries, vineyard maintenance, pruning, harvesting, wine making and Melbourne deliveries. Also veg picking, weeding, propagation, sheep & cattle work, shearing & GFM. You can help with the festival by building, doing signage & enjoying the festival.
You can tour around the area and trips to the snow are included. Accommodation for 3 in our home. Shared meals. Mixed diet, vegetarians & vegans catered for. No children. No smoking inside. Initial stay 2-4 weeks, longer stays negotiable.
