Full Property Description
Close to lots of beautiful bush walks in the area, river swims in Summertime. Cradle Mountain 1.5 hour away, beaches 40minutes. Deloraine is 40 minutes from Devonport or Launceston. If you don’t have a car the redline bus stop is a 2 minute walk from my home.
Organic/Biological methods we use
I’ve a Diploma in Biodynamic Agriculture and this property is managed biodynamically, organically, good soil management & permaculture techniques. Working with nature, plants are left to go to seed for flowers for the bees & to create seed for saving & self-seeding. Minimal cultivation of soil for soil health & green manures. Collection of organic manure from a local friends farm for compost, & seaweed is collected from the beach for compost & seagrass for mulch. Biodynamic 500 is used, cow pat pit & compost preparations. The way I garden is more about observation, listening & letting nature share her wise ways & having fun along the way.

Why I became a WWOOF Host
I’ve done lots of wwoofing around the world & appreciate connecting with people to learn about their lifestyle & place they live to be a ‘tourist’ in a different way. I learnt a lot about gardening this way. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of biodynamics & gardening & natural lifestyle and I enjoy the cultural exchange. We all have something to learn & share with others (:
