    Short Property Description

    Seeking willing, healthy, energetic helpers for 1 to 2 weeks. Physically able to carry out garden maintenance. Able to take instructions and carry them out independently. The tasks could include things like pruning, mulching, composting, weeding, planting and sometimes assisting where there may be a new project. Requirement is to be open and flexible.

     

    HOSTS

    We are an energetic mature-aged couple enjoying our retirement on this beautiful property in a harmonious environment. Neil has a background in Electrical Engineering and Design Draughting. Maria’s background is in hospitality and natural medicine.

     

    PROPERTY

    Our 15 acre property, of which more than half is natural forest with a large dam at the bottom of the slope, is 25min drive from Noosa Heads. Wildlife, including kangaroos & many bird species, is abundant. We have no pets or animals that we tend to.

    We have a permaculture design garden where we grow our own fruit & vegetables, recently incorporating syntropic agriculture.

    If you have an interest in permaculture, biodynamics or syntropic farming and are studying or wanting to gain experience in these fields please apply.

     

    ACCOMMODATION

    The accommodation offered is a large tent with mattress and bedding. You’ll have your own kitchen and bathroom facilities with a compost toilet. These facilities are normally used by Hipcamp  guests but will be exclusive to you during the time you are here. The same Hipcamp guest rules apply; see Peaceful Retreat on Hipcamp,

    If you have a campervan you will use the same facilities.

     

    MEALS

    Lunch is the main meal which we share together at the house.  You prepare you own breakfast and a light evening meal at your accommodation. All food is provided.

     

    HOURS

    We request 5 hours a day of your willing energy, 5 days a week.

     

    WIFI  is available but mobile telephone reception is not reliable if not Telstra.

     

    TRANSPORT

    There is no public transport but we are prepared to drop you off locally on your time off.

    Lake Cootharaba at Boreen Point is 5 minute drive which is a lovely spot to spend time and relax or have a swim.

    If you enjoy a peaceful, quiet, natural environment, then this is the place for you.
