Short Property Description
Seeking a couple, 2 friends or single person for 1 to 2 weeks. Physically able to carry out garden maintenance. Varied tasks like pruning, mulching, composting, weeding, planting and sometimes assisting with new projects.
Our 15 acre property, of which more than half is natural forest with a large dam at the bottom of the slope, is 25min drive from Noosa Heads. Wildlife, including kangaroos & many bird species, is abundant. There are views across the tree tops, beyond Lake Cootharaba, to the Teewah sands on coast just north of Noosa.
We have a permaculture design garden where we grow our own fruit & vegetables, recently incorporating syntropic agriculture.
If you have an interest in permaculture, biodynamics or syntropic farming and are studying or wanting to gain experience in these fields please apply.
The accommodation provided is a newly renovated self-contained cottage which is situated next to the main house. Campervan/camping facilities also available if required.
We provide and have a shared lunch together as the main meal but ask that you prepare you own breakfast and a light evening meal in your accommodation. All food is provided.
We request 5 hours day of your willing energy, 5 days a week.
Internet is available but mobile reception is not reliable if not Telstra.
Preferred stay is 1 – 2 weeks. (Longer stay may be considered and negotiated )
There is no public transport but we are prepared to take you to Noosa occasionally. Lake Cootharaba at Boreen Point is 5 minute drive which is a lovely spot to spend time and relax or have a swim.
If you enjoy a peaceful, quiet, natural environment, then this is the place for you.
