The Plot Bodalla
Discover the beauty of the NSW far south coast of Australia…nestled only km’s from pristine beaches, farmland as well as town amenities.
The Plot is a seasonal cut flower farm on our small 4-acre property in the heart of Bodalla.
We grow a variety of blooms during the summer growing season to provide our local community and visitors to the area with access to fresh, pesticide free and affordable flowers.
We are offering fully self-contained accommodation on site, which is suitable for one person or a couple, in exchange for 1-2 days’ work per week.
The site van accommodation provides you with your own bathroom/laundry and kitchen facilities, including reverse cycle air conditioning, TV, separate office space and unlimited Internet access. All electricity and water usage is included. The property is secure with your own access gate fob and plenty of parking space in the paddock. Meals are not included.
In return, experience a variety of work with us including planning and preparing garden beds, propagation, planting, weeding, mowing using a ride on, irrigation maintenance, cutting and bunching flowers and delivery of orders.
Short or long stays considered, but sorry we cannot accommodate pets as we have two friendly dogs in the family already.
There are also plenty of seasonal paid work options available nearby if applicable.

Why I became a WWOOF Host
I have become a WWOOF host here at the Plot Bodalla, as I am passionate about sustainable farming and excited to share my love for cut flowers with others. Hosting volunteers allows me to access valuable assistance on the farm with tasks such as planting, cultivating and arranging flowers even more manageable and enjoyable. It’s also a wonderful way to meet interesting travelers from around the world, each bringing their unique stories and perspectives. I believe that sharing knowledge and techniques is essential for promoting sustainable growing practices, and WWOOF provides the perfect platform to learn from others while sharing my own experience. Hosting WWOOFers not only helps me maintain and improve the farm but also creates a vibrant, collaborative environment where ideas and techniques can be exchanged freely. It’s deeply rewarding to see volunteers grow their skills and understanding of sustainable agriculture while connecting with nature and the local community.
Organic/Biological methods we use
At The Plot, our approach to growing cut flowers combines commercial viability with a strong commitment to sustainability and soil health. We prioritise small-scale, eco-friendly farming practices that support the long-term vitality of our land. Our focus is on nurturing healthy soil through organic methods, avoiding the use of pesticides and herbicides—our farm is entirely spray-free. We believe that healthy soil leads to vibrant, resilient plants and beautiful flowers. During the summer growing season, we maximize our planting to ensure a steady supply of fresh blooms, while also giving the land time to rest and regenerate during the off-season. This sustainable cycle helps maintain soil fertility, reduce pests naturally, and promote biodiversity. Our dedication to eco-conscious practices ensures that we produce stunning, chemical-free flowers while caring for the environment and creating a thriving, balanced farm ecosystem.
