Short Property Description
Cowsnest’ is a community farm, conservation area & wildlife refuge. Cowsnest was founded 1975 by a group people who wanted to create a place where people could come and live close to nature.
The farm is a refuge for both people and animals. There are several occupied houses on the 830 acre property. There are cows, ducks, gardens, orchards, chickens, bee hives, preserving room and a wildlife sanctuary.
Organic/Biological methods we use
During 45 years no chemical have been used on Cowsnest. Different gardening methods have been used, mainly Biodynamic. Today we’re not strictly following one method and are mainly inspired by Fukuoka and The One Straw Revolution
