Short Property Description
Come and experience life at Cowsnest, an 830 acre community farm, conservation area, and wildlife refuge founded in 1975 by people passionate about living close to nature. Nestled just outside the charming village of Candelo and only a short drive from the stunning Sapphire Coast, the property is bordered by national parks and features a beautiful creek, offering endless opportunities for bushwalking, wildlife spotting, or simply relaxing in nature.
Cowsnest is affiliated with Potoroo Palace Native Animal Wildlife Park and Sanctuary
Organic/Biological methods we use
For over 45 years, no chemicals have ever been used at Cowsnest. Over time we’ve explored different approaches to gardening and farming, with strong roots in Biodynamics. Today we follow a more natural, adaptive style inspired by Masanobu Fukuoka’s One Straw Revolution, focusing on working with nature rather than controlling it.
