Why I became a WWOOF Host
We live on a farm/bush property close to the national park, growing Australian bush foods, native flowers and eucalypts in a timber plantation. Also involved in tree planting for the koala recovery project and bush regeneration. Mud brick home, great views, bushwalking, fishing, swimming and beaches 30 mins drive. Animals include horses, cows, dogs, ducks and chickens & lots of birds and wildlife. Work is varied, helping with animals, gardens, orchard, vegetables and making jam and preserves. We sell excess fruit and vegetables to the local shops. Other projects include nursery work, landscaping, painting or even creating interesting garden sculptures. Excellent accommodation for two in a downstairs study with own verandah and bathroom. Shared meals or cook your own if preferred.
