We operate a very successful fishing charter and AirBnb accommodation on the North Coast of Kangaroo Island. Our farming property with our sheep is located in Western River, overlooking the ocean, 5 Minutes to the beach (car) and 30 minutes to the beautiful Flinders Chase National Park. General duties are helping fishing, farming, property & boat maintenance, cleaning, fencing, sheep work, wood cutting…We also have a big veggie garden and chicken. You should be physically fit, self motivated and be able to work in a team. Good communication skills and an outgoing personality are mandatory requirements here.
We have been Woofers ourselves in the past and in return hosted many backpackers and travellers in our home. We love sharing our way of life and meeting people from around the world. If you stay with us you become part of our family.
Organic/Biological methods we use
We make our own compost with the fish frames and mulch. This is then distributed on our pasture or our Veggie patch in our Chicken yard. We try and avoid chemicals as much as we can on our farm.
We recently built a glass house and our bees are back as well:)
