We, Gavin, Alexandra & Dylan, operate a very successful fishing charter and AirBnb accommodation on the North Coast of Kangaroo Island. Our farming property with our sheep is located in Western River, overlooking the ocean, 5 Minutes to the beach (car) and 30 minutes to the beautiful Flinders Chase National Park. Wild animals and nature are right at our door step! If you are looking for a remote unique Aussie experience on pristine Kangaroo Island – look no further 🙂
General duties are helping fishing, farming, property & boat maintenance, cleaning, fencing, sheep work, wood cutting…We also have a big veggie garden and chicken. You should be physically fit, self motivated and be able to work in a team. Good communication skills and an outgoing personality are mandatory requirements here for our business.
There is always lots to do and any help is welcome! Apart from that you will have plenty of time exploring the island or relax- your choice.
A CAR IS A MUST!!!! Telstra works in almost all areas on the island, other operators however not so much.
You will have your own room with comfortable bed, your own toilet and bathroom and heaps of fresh food. We eat meat and seafood, most of it grown and caught ourselves.

Couples are welcome
We have been Woofers ourselves in the past and in return hosted many backpackers and travellers in our home. We love sharing our way of life and meeting people from around the world. If you stay with us you become part of our family.
Organic/Biological methods we use
We make our own compost with the fish frames and mulch. This is then distributed on our pasture or our Veggie patch in our Chicken yard. We try and avoid chemicals as much as we can on our farm.
We usually have bees on our farm but the stocks have not recovered again after the fires 2019/2020 just yet
