What is required?

An enriched WWOOFer is a prepared WWOOFer

Prior to volunteering with WWOOF we suggest you create a wish list to ensure you stay focused on your goals. You must be over the age of 18 and as long as you are healthy and fit, we have WWOOFers out there, 60 – 70 years of age, embracing life.

  1. List what you would like to learn about and why.
  2. List what states or regions you want to travel to.
  3. Think about your committed length of stay.
  4. Plan, plan, plan, and you will not be disappointed.

Wish list completed, simply join WWOOF online. After setting up your WWOOF profile, search for the Host who is your perfect fit. There are 4 ways to search for Hosts: List or Map Search, WWOOF Notice Board or Forum. Our Hosts have searchable online profiles, so there is total transparency. We encourage WWOOFers to ask as many questions as you need before committing to visit each Host. Arrangements are made between the WWOOFer and Host using our private messaging system.

WWOOFer memberships are valid for 2 years and can be used at anytime, for any duration. So if you would like to learn about Sustainable living, without paying large course fees then WWOOFing is worth investing in, $70.00 Single and $120.00 for a Dual membership what’s not to love, its the gift that keeps on giving. Learn how to feed your family, understand the many farming practices used and why, be part of the WWOOF community.

Reviews:

I came to Witchwood in September 2020 from Melbourne’s Covid-19 lockdown, thanks to the government’s decision to classify bushfire recovery work as an essential reason to travel. I stayed with Jill at Witchwood for three months and I think I will always regard this as one of my life’s formative experiences. Jill is formidable and an inspiration. If you wish to learn about self-sufficiency, working the land, or environmentalism, or you simply want to get back to nature, Witchwood is a great option. Also, I was well and truly cured of my mild fear of spiders and horses. Bonus!

Hi Jackie, I’d just like to say I really enjoyed my first WWOOF experience for two weeks at the end of June. I definitely made the right decision. Although it was the semi-off season, there were still many things to do and I am thankful that you gave me various sorts of jobs every day considering my skills and personality. Everything was colorful and amazing, and also the food was divine. I am so lucky to spend such a lovely time with you in my life and it broadened my mind significantly. Wish you both live happily ever after and hope to see you again!!! Yuka
