Matan’s Lodge is a mixture of art, fun, beach & gardens in a permaculture setting, halfway between Margaret River and the beach. Artists & visitors stay here to enjoy the chance to create, exhibit & reconnect to nature. Non-artists who stay with us, help with the running of the place and often discover their own mediums of expression.
Volunteering is varied and includes gardening, help with art installations, landscaping, help with maintenance of hobby farm and Gallery. Fun & creativity are the essentials… and many have called it the ‘perfect lifestyle’.
It is wonderful to have travellers from all around the world stay with us! We greatly enjoy learning ; sharing culture, skills; experiences with them. We are grateful to have developed some great long-lasting friendships over the years..
Organic/Biological methods we use
we have fruit trees and a small vegetable patch. we use only natural methods, and no artificial fertilisers and no pesticides.
