Winter Creek Farm
Our property is a picturesque truffle farm nestled in the Central Highlands of Victoria. We are located 700 metres above sea level in a sub alpine region, it’s surrounded by majestic trees and thoughtfully designed to blend into the landscape.
We cultivate French black truffles beneath our oak trees and raise a pedigree South Devon cattle herd alongside our orchard using regenerative farming practices.
It is a joy to share this beautiful and unique place with others.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

“We became WWOOF hosts to share our passion for truffles and sustainable farming. While our main emphasis is on cultivating premium French black truffles, we also maintain a small herd of South Devon cattle to support our regenerative practices. We love teaching others how to nurture the land, respect animals, and see that small-scale agriculture can be both rewarding and commercially viable. It’s all about passing on that knowledge and passion for what we do.”

Organic/Biological methods we use

We integrate cattle rotation to naturally enhance pasture soil health. All compost and organic material – such as pruning from truffle trees – is produced entirely on our property. No synthetic chemicals are used on the property. All of this encourages biodiversity, encouraging beneficial insects and birdlife. We introduce no external inputs, ensuring a fully closed loop, sustainable system that maintains soil vitality from within. This also means we do not have to treat our cattle with antibiotics and drenches or introduced feed.
