Farming methods
Short Property Description
We have a truffle farm and produce the French Black Perigord truffle. We also practice regenerative farming with the use of a Pedigree South Devon cattle herd. We have several calves born at our farm each year. Our farm is situated in the Central highlands of Victoria in a sub alpine region. We are 700 metres above sea level. Our property is surrounded by well established large trees and has been thoughtfully designed and manicured to prevent as little disturbance as possible. In 2022 we completed the construction of our home on the farm and designed it in such a way that it has a light footprint on the property and has views to our livestock regardless of which paddock they reside. It is truly a pleasure to live in this region, in this house and doing what we love on a daily basis.

Why I became a WWOOF Host
We hope to teach people all about the importance of nurturing our soil and putting back into the farm as opposed to the old methods of taking out only. Regenerative farming is the only way forward if we are to stop the depletion of our farms and food bowl. We would like to show the next generation of farming enthusiasts how to become a regenerative farm and the importance of livestock in this process. We would like to share the wonderful experience of birthing livestock and of the trust built between us due to quiet gentle handling and mutual respect of our animals.
