Emily Hill farm was a great first wwoofing experience for us. We enjoyed picking berries, mulching, looking after the chickens, and pruning the tomatoes. Sue and Ed showed us the ropes, gave us clear expectations of our jobs each day and trusted in our capacity to get on with things. We learnt a lot and enjoyed all the people and the dogs that we met. There were lots of opportunities to connect with our hosts, with morning tea shared everyday, and sometimes lunch. We were also invited to Ed’s place one evening for dinner and a swim and went out with Sue for dinner just before we left. We enjoyed eating from the garden each day, living simply and slowly after a hard work day on the farm and making (perfecting!) the bread in the bread-maker under the tutelage of Sue. We felt right at home and inspired by what can be achieved. We enjoyed having our own space each afternoon – in our cosy room above the shed in a comfortable bed. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience and really recommend Emily Hill farm. We hope to come back sometime, thank you for having us!

I lived and worked on the farm for a couple of weeks in late Jan to early Feb 2025, which was also the tail-end of the blueberry season and a transitionary phase on the farm. Work started every day at 8am, paused for tea break at 10.30am (during which we often got to enjoy one of Sue's home-baked goodies!), and ended at lunch at 12.30pm. Weeding, picking (tomatoes, zucchinis, beans, cucumbers, blueberries), mulching and tending shop were some of the activities I assisted with during my two weeks. Accommodation was a cosy two-storey house that we Wwoofers could call our own during our stay and I really appreciated that space and freedom! Sue often checked in with us on what we needed for food, and both she and Ed periodically hosted us for lovely dinners at their respective homes. Wonderful memories were made and I am glad and honoured to have crossed paths with Sue and Ed 🙂

In Emily Hill farm I helped with the farm work including weeding, harvesting, pruning. Feeling grateful when I eat the fruits harvested in tithe field. That’s an incredible experience of self sufficiency. I like it so much. I also love the accommodation with a cozy space and bed. Sue, Ed and the family are all amazing people who are kind and generous. It’s a wonderful 12 days stay in my trip and I’ll never forget.

I spent about one month at Emily Hills Farm, and it was truly a wonderful experience. During my time there, I had the opportunity to do a wide variety of tasks, including picking blueberries and raspberries, managing the chickens, helping out at the shop, weeding, making bread, and so much more. It was incredibly fulfilling, and I consider myself lucky to have joined the farm during the blueberry harvest season. I learned so many things that I could never have experienced in my own country, and for that, I am deeply grateful. This one month was undoubtedly the most meaningful part of my six-month working holiday in Australia. The accommodation at Emily Hills Farm was excellent. I had a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and plenty of delicious food. Everything was well-prepared to ensure that I felt at home. Ed and Sue, the hosts, were incredibly kind, polite, and knowledgeable. They made me feel so welcome throughout my stay. I was even invited to their house for dinner a few times, and every visit was a delightful experience. They prepared delicious meals and shared stories that I’ll always remember. Moreover, the view from Ed’s house was absolutely stunning, and I enjoyed every moment of it. I also want to extend my gratitude to Sok and everyone else who welcomed me so warmly during my stay. Although I may not remember all of their names, their kindness and hospitality left a lasting impression on me. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Ed, Sue, and their family for their generosity and kindness, as well as to the wonderful community I met at the farm. My time at Emily Hills Farm will always hold a special place in my heart.

Emily Hill farm is a small haven in the middle of the gumtrees, with 2 wonderful host, Sue and Ed. The tasks we had at the farm were diverse, from picking delicious blueberries, to prunning lemon trees or collecting the dozen of fresh eggs everyday from the choocks. We both learned so much about the blueberries and the farm everyday life. The accomodation makes you fell like you're at home, with a full equipt kitchen, shower and living room. Parrots are all day long flying around the farm, and for french people, that's something amazing to watch, everytime. At night time, you can come across wombats, kangaroos, howls and possums around the paddocks. Sue and Ed are one of a kind, helpful, respectful, with an impressive knowledge, always providing good stories and great advices to avoid making mistakes when you arrive in a new country. Thank you Sue and Ed once again !

It was my first wwoofing experience and it was great! Sue and Ed are welcoming and always available. I found the work interesting and divers (berry picking, vegetable gathering, tree pruning, chicken care and so on) and the property is simply beautiful. The accomodation is really nice and well equiped but if something is missing, Sue and Ed are here to help! I can only recommend that farm to any wwoofer! Thank you Sue and Ed!

We love to be here! Very nice family (Sue and his son Ed, coming every day), explaining us all about blueberries and their other fruits and vegetables! Very clean and tidy farm and self contained accomodation for wwoofers (bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, living space), we really feel comfortable here. Picking blueberries is very nice, when you see that people love to buy them in the farm shop. There a friendly dogs around, chooks, amazing birds! We are treated like friends which is very nice 🙂
