Valle Pacis
Beef cattle farm on the Mornington Peninsula. We care about our animals, we run a cell grazing operation that provides alot of contact with the herd.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

I love running the farm, but there is plenty to do. More hands mean we can take time to do things properly.

Organic/Biological methods we use

We cell graze a small herd of cattle, usually Angus or Angus cross. We have frequent interactions with the herd and they allow us to approach them within 1-2m. We use organic manure to fertilize and do not use any broad spraying of herbicides. We occasionally use targeted herbicides, but more commonly we use mechical methods for weed control (digging out/mulcher-mower). We cut hay for sale and stock feed annually.
