This is a good sized garden in the northern suburbs of Canberra where we grow a range of temperate-climate fruit, vegetables and flowers for home use and to gift to friends and neighbours. Visitors will have a comfy bedroom in our house with good wifi coverage. We are looking for people interested in short stays (3-7 days) to do 4-5 hours general gardening a day, leaving plenty of time to explore Canberra. I can pick up from the airport, train or bus station.

We live on a beautiful 16 acre farm in Arcadia which is an hour north of the Sydney CBD. We are at the end of a very quiet street and surrounded by national park, there isn't a neighbour in sight! There are lots of beautiful walking and riding trails outside out gate yet the shops are only 15 minutes away. Train stations are 30 minutes away so the city and beaches are very accessible. Our workers and volunteers have free use of a great little Toyota Yaris to drive locally so they can get to the train stations and go out and do fun local things on days off. We pay for the fuel and all other expenses related to the car. I (Amanda) have a business with horses. I give lessons and train horses for clients in dressage and show jumping. Before I had children, I used to compete at a high level in eventing. I don’t seem to have time to compete much these days. We usually have between 18 and 24 horses here so it's all pretty busy. My husband, Brett is a builder. He tries to work as locally as possible and also has a long list of jobs to get through on the farm so he's pretty busy too!! We have two children. Toby is 8 and Daisy is 5. They are both at school this year so we don’t need so much help with them. Just having fun playing with them when I have lessons before and after school and on weekends. Both children have beautiful ponies and love to go to pony club. They love the outdoors and spend every spare second outside playing or helping with jobs (in their own special way!!).

Our little cottage is in a small country town two hours north of Melbourne. We have recently moved here to be closer to nature and build a more sustainable life. Over the next few months we will focus on building a larger chicken coup, developing the vegetable gardens and keeping bees. We would like to sell our produce to the town, and by doing so, raise funds to put some of the proceeds back into community lead projects. We are learners on this journey, and welcome anyone who would like to join us.

We are an easy going couple who enjoy the great outdoors, mostly sunsets going down over the ocean. We travelled around Australia many moons ago and have ended up in a place we did not expect but dreamed of. We love spending time with our 2 dogs (Labrador's) and coming up with many types of different recycling based projects to make Ecostay's a unique place to visit! We are lucky enough to enjoy our own private beach and are constantly amazed at the ever changing sunsets over the horizon! We are environmentally conscious and are creating 1 bedroom self contained 'up cycled' cottages which provide privacy and a total escape from the real world. You can expect to hear the sound of the waves and the beautiful star covered sky at night. It is so great to have people come from all over the world to come and visit our place, we have both travelled extensively over the years and believe we have a place that is very unique. For some reason its only recently occurred to me to invite woofers here..based on some amazing experiences we had on our own travels.  Life here is not hectic. Work a bit (home brew on the boil) and just enjoying nature! We do not take life seriously and welcome people to say who share the same ideas. We have 3 cottages on the property that we rent out, so pending availability and who comes along we can make things work hopefully.

We are hobby farmers on acreage, with an interest in organic farming and self-sufficiency. We are located outside the world-renowned village of Kuranda, close to Cairns, the Barrier Reef and rain forest. We are members of the Rare Fruit Group and our passion is growing our own oranges, cinnamon, tea, coffee, vanilla beans, ice-cream beans, etc. We are working with improving the soil, so lots of spreading compost, fertilizing, mowing. Also, feeding poultry and in the dry season checking sprinklers, but support may also be needed in other areas. Shared meals, mixed diet. Can be accommodating as Jan is a chef and Aneta is a dietitian. No children. No drugs. NSI. Prefer initial stays of 6-10 days, longer stays neg.
