Why I became a WWOOF Host

I need assistance maintaining my 30 acre property and I have had success with Adopt a Backpacker and have hosted international visitors through equestrian sports annually.
My family and I enjoy hosting people from other countries and the cultural exchange opportunities. Other families have hosted us in Europe and we enjoy doing the same in Australia.
We would like the opportunity to reciprocate and to have some help establishing an organic vegetable garden and we are looking at growing mushrooms.

Organic/Biological methods we use

We fertilise with horse manure and remove weeds by hand or by burning. There is small herb garden which includes mint, rhubarb and spinach. There are plans to establish the tiered organic, permaculture vegetable garden. We have removed the existing railway sleepers and have replaced these with new timber but there is more work to be done.
