30 acre lifestyle property with land reserved for wildlife located in a secluded, picturesque spot opposite the Toomuc Valley Creek on an unmade road with access to state forests and walking tracks.
Equestrian facilities: stables, tack up area, riding menage, agisted horses and one dam. Property is on tank water. Back bush paddock is a home to kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, magpies, cockatoos, rainbow lorikeets and kookaburras. There are also feral deer on the property. Located 15 minutes from a metropolitan train line to Melbourne’s CBD. Host will facilitate drop off and picks ups to the train station for an easy day trip to the city. Wwoofers have their own bedroom with king-single bunk beds including comfortable mattresses and bathroom with a separate toilet. Comfortable 4 bedroom house with an open fire, air conditioning in main living area, fans in bedrooms and a verandah with beautiful views of the valley and established native trees.
Beautiful Kilcunda Beach is only 45 mins away and there are several local wineries and an apple orchard which has a cafe. Wwoofers always enjoy a visit to the local animal sanctuary where one can cuddle wombats and often young kangaroos.

Why I became a WWOOF Host
I need assistance maintaining my 30 acre property and I have had success with Adopt a Backpacker and have hosted international visitors through equestrian sports annually.
My family and I enjoy hosting people from other countries and the cultural exchange opportunities. Other families have hosted us in Europe and we enjoy doing the same in Australia.
We would like the opportunity to reciprocate and to have some help establishing an organic vegetable garden and we are looking at growing mushrooms.

Organic/Biological methods we use
We fertilise with horse manure and remove weeds by hand or by burning. There is small herb garden which includes mint, rhubarb and spinach. There are plans to establish the tiered organic, permaculture vegetable garden. We have removed the existing railway sleepers and have replaced these with new timber but there is more work to be done.
