We are a chicken and market garden farm thats grows out day old chickens until they are 16 weeks of age ready to go to pastured egg producers to enjoy there laying life in the field. We get day old chickens and brood them until 4 weeks of age then we i produce them the outdoors where put them in big pens exposed to the elements. This encourages resilient attributes to the outdoors. We have a wood chipper that we put in pens to create compost of a good quality to the put in our no dig market garden. This trying to close the loop on inputs and reliance upon outside inputs.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

We are a 2nd year pastured pullet growing business and small market garden that would love some passionate help to grow. We have a separate flat/unit 20metres away from our main house that offers privacy and space to help us grow. I have 3 small kids that are a buzz and we would love some help with work load. It can be both independent and very much a part apart of my family. Im open to all ideas and ways of suiting the right wwoof.

I have a beautiful property that is open to make a great business/lifestyle opportunity for my family and im very excited to offer it to someone that is passionate and willing to build and learn. I have so much passion for caring for the land and wanting to build an example of this in my area on scale.

Organic/Biological methods we use

We turn woodchips(carbon) into high quality compost and love to expand our market garden with some help. Its as clean as we can make it here meat and veggies are plentiful grown the right way.
