60-acre Llama farm in central Victoria. Basically a grazing property with rolling hills with lots of trees.
We are 15 minutes from the train to Melbourne which takes 1 hour.
Apart from the llamas we also have a small flock of sheep, chooks, emus and dogs. A beautiful garden and mudbrick house.
Love to teach people about these wonderful animals. I spent many years as an educator in agriculture and I miss the interaction.
I think this would be a great way to pass on my knowledge and meet some passionate and interesting people. I am 68 and very active but I could use an extra pair of hands at times.
Organic/Biological methods we use
We only have virgin pastures no additional fertiliser just animal manure and certainly no chemicals. Weed control is through a mixture of animal grazing which is extremely effective if you get the balance right.
