Andrew Palmer
We welcome all WWOOFers to our 70-acre farm and vineyard, 40 km east of Hobart. We have 4 kids and many animals. Two of our kids are now grown up and left the home. Our farmhouse is beautiful, with a large garden, hammocks, river, swimming lake and kayaks, and is 30mins drive to the coast, city and airport.
We also have a house in the city with kids now going to school and working in the city, so time may be split between farm and the house in Hobart. The house in town is located in Sandy Bay, about 4km from Hobart CBD.
Gardening, orchard, vineyard and animal work to suit your skills and abilities.
Space for up to 2 WWOOFers. Strictly no smoking. Shared meals, mixed diet. English and German spoken.  Initial stay 2 days, then negotiable.
Hope to see you soon!

Why I became a WWOOF Host

To share wonderful experiences on our permaculture designed vineyard and farm. As backpackers from 30 years ago, we love to hear your stories and we know the importance of having a safe, relaxing space to chill for a while.

Organic/Biological methods we use

The farm is designed on permaculture principles and we do a lot of composting, mulching and rotate our sheep through our paddocks regularly. We have extensive water harvesting infrastructure and build many things with recycled materials.
