We have a beautiful little farm that has steep and undulating land with exquisite views.  Our 106-acre farm is a beef, vegetable, and tree-growing operation with numerous dams, sheds, a mixed fruit orchard, vegetable gardens, and a home garden. Wattle Grove is situated near the small town of Cygnet in the Huon Valley, and there are many lovely walks. We are close to the Huon River and the sea. There are buses to Hobart daily, and so you can enjoy all that Hobart has to offer.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

When we started being WWoof host we had three home-schooled children (now all grown up) and it was a way of bringing the world to them as well as providing us with help around the farm. Now as we have become older it is such a great help to us to have young people still willing to lend a hand and we love to include them as part of our family while they are with us.

Organic/Biological methods we use

Currently, we do not stock any animals on the farm. We prepare the grass for the hay season, which will require the removal of thistles and other weeds by hand. We are not certified organic.
