Short Property Description
Willow Bend Farm is 5 minutes from Cygnet. Enjoy lovely walks, bicycle rides and sweet little beaches. Our 106-acre farm is a beef, vegetable, and tree-growing operation with numerous dams, sheds, a mixed fruit orchard, vegetable gardens, and a home garden. We also run a cooking school, ‘The Farmhouse Kitchen,’ from the home. Our family provides a warm and friendly environment with lovely meals, and independent accommodation is provided. Sorry, no children. Mixed diet, mainly Italian. Duties include feeding and watering plants and animals, planting trees, pruning, digging out thistles and weeds, feeding hay and silage to livestock, and helping to beautify the farm. Two-week trial, extensions possible. WWOOFers will be treated as one of our family. Normal courtesy and kindness to others will be expected. No smoking, alcohol, drugs, or unacceptable behaviour.
Organic/Biological methods we use
Currently, we do not stock any animals on the farm. We prepare the grass for the hay season, which will require the removal of thistles and other weeds by hand. We are not certified organic.

Why I became a WWOOF Host
When we started being WWoof host we had three home-schooled children (now all grown up) and it was a way of bringing the world to them as well as providing us with help around the farm. Now as we have become older it is such a great help to us to have young people still willing to lend a hand and we love to include them as part of our family while they are with us.
