Thousand year old pines, sandalwoods and acacia trees nestle on the rare sandhills that are culturally significant and a living historic museum. 100 acres of bush where kangaroos and emus roam and the wild animals keep company. We are 800 metres from the Murray River and 20 min from Echuca. Citrus orchard, revegetation works, distilling essential oils and art are all part of our daily life. We need a hand to keep this sacred place alive. Peace, birdsong and adventure are here.
Why I became a WWOOF Host
Wwoofers i am hoping will be able to help us on the farm. We live a simple life fully off grid and like to grow trees and food. Being 67 years old i am not as agile and as strong as i used to be. My creativity however is stiil active and sometimes we just need someone to hold the other end of the stick. Artists are welcome here.
Organic/Biological methods we use
We do not use chemicals on the property and hand pick weeds. Tree necklacing has been a mainstay of feral animal control on our revegetation works. We do not grow crops as we have the trees and shrubs to harvest by pruning to go to the distillery.
