Short Property Description
Certified Bio-dynamic since 2001, our horticultural property is in the scenic Wirrabara Forest of the Southern Flinders Ranges. We grow a variety of fruit and veges, and keep free-range poultry, cattle and sheep. We appreciate help with picking, drying, preserving, packing, jam making, gardening & property maintenance. We attend local farmers markets and shows.
Accommodation in self contained granny flat or large caravan. All meals with us.
We are 55km from Port Pirie and 11km from our nearest town, Wirrabara.
We invite you to be part of our environmentally supportive lifestyle. Short or long stays welcome.
Organic/Biological methods we use
We are a certified ‘Demeter’ biodynamic property, achieving full certification in 2001.
We use and support biodynamic and organic methods, and operate in a holistic and nurturing manner.
We use the biodynamic preparations, and aim at maximising diversity, with fruit tree orchards, vegetable gardens, free range poultry, sheep, beef cattle, bees, and native vegetation areas.
No agricultural chemicals or artificial fertilizers are used.
