Ina & David Mills
We own a double block in Newport on Sydney’s northern beaches. Our little boy Roki has a severe brain injury. We embarked on a mission to grow all his food (he is tube fed) and turned the block into a permaculture yard. We need a lot of help to complete it. We have lived here for one year.
We have views on Newport Beach and we’re a short walk from the beach. As I do all the caring and therapy on Roki my husband Dave is left with finishing the yard. There are a lot of jobs he cannot do by himself. He is a carpenter and very handy.
We will be looking for someone to come for at least 4-6 weeks to help Dave make more garden beds, assist with the compost making, planting, building pergolas for all the grape vines we need to plant etc. We have an awesome vintage caravan on the yard that can be accomodation for people. We know it’s not s farm but it is our little farm!

Why I became a WWOOF Host

We have learnt so much not only through Roki’s life and raising a child with a disability away from mainstream health care, we’ve also learnt so much about permaculture and living off the land. It would be wonderful to share those life skills with others and at the same time learn from them.
