Our property is a small 5 acre block set amongst others in a bush setting beside a beautiful coastal Forest. We have a vegetable and fruit garden semi established.

Our home sits at the back of the block overlooking a vista of gum trees and lawn. We have a pool for cooling off in after working in the garden. Bird life is abundant here and there are a family of kangaroos who graize, and move freely around the neighbouring blocks. We are located 5 minutes drive, or a 20 minute bicycle ride from the beach. The adjoining forest is a fabulous place to walk, and has mountain bike tracks throughout.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

We love our garden, and are super keen to put lots of energy and love back into it after a trip around Aus. We loved meeting other travellers, and woofing looks like it will be an excellent opportunity to share.

Organic/Biological methods we use

We primarily use the ‘no dig’ method, and do lots of mulching. Our fruit trees need constant monitoring for leaf minor, and keeping on top of this is a daily chore. The veges are in raised garden beds, and watering and looking after also a daily chore. We also do lots of foliage chopping with the hedger and the battery operated pruner to reduce the height of our garden, but mainly to keep the compost bins full and fed. We also mow and whipper snip weekly. Sat and Sun is usually days of for Woofers.
