Our 150 acre Certified Organic farm is 100 kms west of Cairns. We grow cattle, limes & grapefruit. We also have horses & dogs. We have a large dam for recreational use – swimming, relaxing & fishing. We use BD preps with our organic system. Work includes fruit picking, packing & processing; planting, weeding & propagation; cattle work, fencing and general maintenance. Accommodation is in our adjacent s/c cottage for up to 6 people, or BYO. Children b.a. Mixed diet. NSI. Bus from Cairns to Mareeba daily. Limited mobile reception (Optus service only). No Wi-Fi. Min stay 7 days. Primary producer.
We became a WWOOF Host back in 2007 and continue to enjoy sharing our rural living in this unique part of far north Queensland. Only 1 ½ hrs drive from Cairns. Our family run certified organic farm enables people from all around the world to learn about organic farming practices and have a real Aussie experience.
