    Full Property Description

We grow fruit trees, ornamental plants & a broad variety of fruit, organic vegetables, spices and herbs. Work includes trimming trees, cutting wood, planting, harvesting, weeding, mulching, building, fencing, depending on season and weather situation.

Animal care: we share our property with 2 dogs, 10 guinea pigs, choocks and roosters (numbers fluctuating between 6 and 15).

Cooking style is Aussie-Swiss-around the world based on seasonal products from our garden, we enjoy sharing and trying new recepies and would love to get to know your signature dish!

Our place is very close to several beaches, stunning national parks and beautiful swimming holes; there is access to the Great Barrier Reef and Hinchinbrook Island; there are numerous opportunities for hiking, biking and paragliding in the area and the most dazzeling starlit sky at night.

If time allows, we’d love to show you around and take you to see our favourite spots for hiking, biking, paragliding, swimming.

Preferred stays at least 1 week. Mature aged (MAW) & Japanese WWOOFers welcome. Children b.a. NSI. Looking forward to meeting you.

    Special Conditions

We try to share our work depending on everybody’s experience and ressources; cultural exchange is very important to us.

Due to the hot weather, we start working in the garden early in the morning. We then try and stay inside for the hottest part of the day and go back in the garden towards late afternoon. This way our Wwoofers usually get the early afternoon free to go to town or the library or have a nanny nap.

You’d have to bring along garden gloves, well fitting garden shoes, old clothes for garden work (long pants and long sleeves). Depending on the season and personal needs, you’d also need to bring mosquitoe protection (head net, spray), sun protection (hat, sunscreen) and a raincoat.

    Skills WWOOFers can learn here

Gardening, Composting, Pruning, Mulching, Animal care, Using & caring for tools, Building, Fencing, Bread making, Preserving & processing food
