Primrose park is 6000 acres of beautiful, natural native land at Springsure, Central Highlands Queensland. The main homestead is approximately 50 metres from the original cottage house where our volunteers will stay.
At the heart of everything we do are systems that promote land regeneration, free range animals and pure, non-tampered with fruits and vegetables. Our focus is Natural Sequence Farming, time controlled grazing and Joel Salatin’s farming principles which mimic natural ecosystem processes. We do not sell any produce from our farm, our aim is to be merely self sufficient while helping Mother Nature to regenerate.
We have hosted volunteers in the past and have found that the people who find us via volunteering have an authentic curiosity for the work we do. It’s fantastic meeting people from all over the world who share the same values.
Organic/Biological methods we use
Our key focus are systems that promote land regeneration. We use the principles of Natural Sequence Farming, time-controlled grazing and Joel Salatin’s farming principles to mimic a natural ecosystem processes.
Our farm is open for volunteers to assist with animal management (water chickens, mustering cattle and feeding pigs), building or maintaining infrastructure (constructing ‘leaky weirs’, fixing fences and assisting with property development) and gardening. We are trying to become self-sufficient and growing our own fruit and veggies will certainly put us in the right direction!
