NFR is a grass roots permaculture community on 160 acres nestled amongst the foothills of Mother Mountain.
NFR is in early stages of implementing food gardens & buildings & welcome all who would like to participate short or long-term or as members. Shares are available for purchase. Help with carpentry and cement work particularly welcome.
We also particularly welcome & support those interested in utilising our acreage & basic facilities as a venue for education & workshops. Exploring various aspects of well being, diet & integrative lifestyle, developing & demonstrating co-operative permaculture food production, distribution, nutrient return & greater community while developing land sharing systems respecting biodiversity of people & place & income for our goals.
The main house overlooks developing organic orchards, vegie & herb gardens. Ideally located for biking, bushwalking, Eumundi markets, various National Parks, Frazer Island, canoeing & surfing.
Volunteering incl. all aspects of orchard & garden maintenance, earthworks & natural building.
Negotiable. stays of 2 weeks and over for up to 3 self-reliant people.
Wi Fi. Communal vegetarian meals or self-cater for reduced work. No smoking inside.

We have had an interest in securing land and water in order to protect such a vital asset and grow organic food for future generations. We enjoy offering education and have loved to share our home with others wishing to learn about permaculture
