Hello & may we wish you a warm welcome! We may never meet you, but wish you all the best on your journeys. We welcome newcomers and people with any experience, from all backgrounds, and enjoy meeting new people, sharing skills, good conversations and sharing a tasty meal, all whilst working towards the dream of a fully sustainable food forest, building an eco cabin and learning how to live off-grid sustainably.
We’re a passionate couple, interested in permaculture, sustainable food production, container houses, land regeneration, water harvesting, cooking healthy food, and living sustainably, as well as deeper, meaningful things about life, like patience, kindness and learning to love people.
Come join us in in working in our newly established, 1 acre old food forest, building off-grid container cabins, sheds for water harvesting as well as various land regeneration activities, as well as day-to-day activities to maintain the 120-acre “land for wildlife” regeneration property.
We’re keen to meet new people and collaborate on our exciting projects, share our skills, learn and work together. Check out our blog http://ecoengineersblog.wordpress.com for more pictures on the caravan, what we’ve created so far, projects and our vision.
Imagine walking into a food forest with hundreds of fruit and nut trees, tall and abundant with fruit, healthy soil, water, wildlife, with enough produce to share with others, and accommodation for people to stay in a community setting – that’s our dream and we are working to get there. Is that something you’d like to be a part of, learn and work towards?
Our food forest is only new, 2.5 years old, but if you’d like to learn how to get one up and running, and learn from many mistakes, its a very interesting experience of turning a grassy lawn with poor sandy soil, and into a food producing food forest. We are not yet there, but we are on our way!
We are not all about the work either, and enjoy a balance, giving space and days off to our guests to spend as they wish. There’s lots of nature here, so if that’s your thing, you’ll feel right at home in this quiet sanctuary (that’s how we see it anyways 🙂 .
With Love,
Paul & Monique

Why I became a WWOOF Host
We want to meet new people, share our property and what we have created, be a part of a community of like-minded people, get help in building a container home and creating self-sufficiently, learn and share. Our food forest is in its infancy, so much love and care is still needed to make sure it thrives, and our large land regeneration property always could do with more hands to see it flourish. We’d love to build swales to catch much needed water, mulch natives and add thick layers of mulch to the food forest, as well as transforming a container into a home of foreign visitors.
Organic/Biological methods we use
Permaculture, a little Syntropic, Miyawaki and lots of experimentation!
