Short Property Description
We live on the beautiful south coast of NSW, close to quiet beaches and surrounded by forest. We have been growing veg for local families for 20 years and have trained and mentored many small business owners in mixed market gardening. We enjoy life, flavour and nature. We have hosted many foreign and Australian helpers over the years and enjoy the cultural exchange. Kirsti and I have travelled to many countries over the years but now we have a farm we can’t go so often so we enjoy hearing your stories of travel. On our farm there are 2 rooms for WWOOFer accommodation. They are separate from our house and clean and comfortable. We share lunch and dineer and you can make your own breakfast in the packing shed which has a stove and a fridge. There are dams for swimming in and bush trails for walking nearby. We don’t ask you to help on weekends so the beach is a good option.
Organic/Biological methods we use
We eat what we grow, we’ve raised children and feed family and community members on the food we grow. We wouldn’t call ourselves organic or permaculturalists or regenerative farmers or biodynamic although we do practice aspects from each of those. Our market garden is like a backyard garden from which you’d feed your family except much bigger. We don’t use any kind of poisons and we use fertilisers that are not synthetic.

Why I became a WWOOF Host
We like the social connection from visitors with similar interests. We can run our business without help but it’s more fun with help and we get to keep on top of the extra bits that we don’t get to especially in peak season. We love good food and always enjoy what other people bring to the table from their own cultural background. Because our farm is bigger than our market garden there are other jobs like building, tree planting, firewood cutting, fencing, tree pruning and other maintenance jobs and if WWOOFers are interested in learning about those things we can work together on projects so you can take some skills with you.
