established off grid home and gardens , part of large Co -op Community on beach, in forest, near Coffs harbour NSW.permaculture, homesteading, syntropic, regenerative farming, organic, hugel kultur,weed harvesting etc

Our 30 year old project is part of the Bananas Village on  40 year old Bundagen Co- Operative Community and wildlife sanctuary. It has  residents spread out through former farm, now wildlife sanctuary, surrounded by Bongil Bongil National Park   and the Pacific Ocean (surf beach) .

Bundagen Co Operative Community is about halfway between Brisbane and Sydney, on the east  coast  of Australia,just off the Pacific Highway. halfway between Coffs Harbour and groovy transition town Bellingen .

The entire community is Off Grid. On our site we are inspired by; permaculture, regenerative agriculture, biodynamics, syntropic farming, aiming for sustainable lifestyle, homesteading, building, recycling, handyman, ferro cement, earthship, hugel kultur, stone masonry, arches, bushfire preparation, brick stone , cement,  landscaping, sharing, laughing, playing music.

Organic/Biological methods we use

No pesticides used.

Natural organic methods used  inspired by Permaculture and Biodynamics, regenerative agriculture Syntropics etc .We integrate our food forest/gardening to use  compost, hugel kulturs etc.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

To Grow, harvest, process, share together, eat together, laugh together, and care for our planet.-what more do you need to know?I enjoy the social and cultural exchange that comes when travellers share with us.There is often an easy exchange of ideas and help.As we are part of a large intentional community(110+)our woofer guests get to experience and often contribute to the greater social life on our community-benefitting both ways. Often woofers have a wonderful time here- d we are grateful for the input from fresh eyes-very gratifying -for all!
