Wonderful, tranquil, mostly organic 6 acres located on city fringe. Accommodation is a quirky renovated caravan, with WIFI, AC, set in natural bushland with its own bushland shower and toilet,a BBQ and shaded outdoor dining area. Pool available. Plenty of fresh foods, veggie patch, fresh eggs, dairy and dry goods provided for self cooking with occasional meal at main house. Volunteer duties are in the surrounding gardens . Fantastic enclosed vegie patch, goats, geese, cats and dogs. Sometimes we do farm maintenance, and I have a fantastic well equipped shed and machinery and implements for farm use. We have a little farm truck ( we can teach you to drive it ) and a front end loader for digging and moving logs.

Why I became a WWOOF Host
When I found there were people looking for accomodation food , friendship and learning about organic things and different cultures I though BINGO……..and couldnt wait to sign up . I have found it a very enjoyable experience and have met some wonderful folk and have remained in contact with several. I love learning about their countries and families and what makes them tick.
Organic/Biological methods we use
I do not (ok, very rarely) use chemicals and make my own organic weedkiller and fertilisers. I recycle everything I can and try and reduce my footprint. I mulch with lucerne and animal manure and leaves. I make my own straw for the animals from shredded paper. The vege patch is 100% organic and we caterpillar and snail hunt daily. There are several garden beds and we check for invasive weeds frequently and pick up gum tree sticks daily……..some WWOOFERS get very creative with them. Often we make our own bread and now making our own cheese……..we make our own organic fertiliser that is very popular during open garden.
