The property is a peaceful and tranquil six acre space on the edge of the city, with a mostly organic approach. Accommodation is in a quirky renovated caravan set within the back of the property, complete with WIFI, air conditioning and its own outdoor bush shower and toilet (there is also a conventional toilet on the property and you’re welcome to use my indoor shower as well). There’s a BBQ and a shaded outdoor dining area and you’re also free to use our pool.
There’s plenty of fresh food available for you to prepare your own meals, including produce from the veggie patch, fresh eggs, as well as dairy and pantry basics. From time to time we also share meals together at the main house, depending on the day.
Most of the volunteer work takes place in the surrounding gardens. We have a fantastic veggie patch, along with goats, geese, dogs and a cat. Occasionally there is also some general farm maintenance to help with. I have a well-equipped shed with machinery and tools for farm use, including a small farm truck (which I am happy to teach you how to drive) and a front-end loader for moving logs or doing digging work.
I can sign off on 2nd/3rd Year Visas                                                                                                   https://wwoof.com.au/2nd-3rd-year-working-holiday-visas-update

Why I became a WWOOF Host
When I found there were people looking for accomodation, food, friendship and learning about organic things and different cultures I thought BINGO! and couldnt wait to sign up. I have found it a very enjoyable experience and have met some wonderful folk and have remained in contact with several. I love learning about their countries and families and what makes them tick.
Organic/Biological methods we use
I do not (ok, very rarely) use chemicals and make my own organic weedkiller and fertilisers. I recycle everything I can and try to reduce my footprint. I mulch with lucerne and animal manure and leaves. I make my own straw for the animals from shredded paper. The veggie patch is 100% organic and we caterpillar and snail hunt daily. There are several garden beds and we check for invasive weeds frequently. Often we make our own bread, cheese, pesto and more 🙂 we also make our own organic fertiliser out of rice which was very popular during open garden.
