4 Acres of hill top country in a bush-scape scene close to town surrounded by many pet animals, such as English saddle back pig, chooks, guinea fowls, Maremma dogs, domestic cats and a warmblood horse.
Working on developing sustainable gardens and in progress is a two storey industrial house-barn that my partner and I are building ourselves. Coming to the end stages of the build and in the progress of landscaping and tree planting. We are now in the finishing stages of the build.
My partner and I have a lot of knowledge to share. We run a part time consulting business that is a training and safety / engineering business. Our focus for the near future is completing the build on our house barn and enjoying the bush-scape.
The house-barn is really large and very different to what people have seen before, somewhat like a mini castle and we thought it would be of value to share it and get some help along the way learning some building skills, working with the animals and gardening. In addition we get the benefit of different cultures, cuisine and stories.
Organic/Biological methods we use
Our mission is to look after the property in the best way possible and develop up the flora and fauna that presides in this area and do our best to have a positive foot print on the property. The organic garden beds are under development along with dedicated areas to generate tropical rain forest environments.
We need to build the front verandah to protect a vegetable garden from direct sun and attack from the animals and insects. What will be produced is organic vegetables.
