Short Property Description
We are a small tourist resort (pet friendly) on 155 acres close to wellknown resorts of Thredbo and Perisher and Jindabyne. We have self contained accommodation for guests as well as guesthouse. Beautiful expansive gardens and sculptures. Mountain walks. Interesting collections abound. Relaxed atmosphere with always something interesting to do. Great atmosphere in private and relaxed property.
Volunteering includes gardening, maintenance & projects, painting, etc. Housework. Cooking should you enjoy. Learn lots of skills in different areas. Yummy meals.
Our gardens are beautiful, have sculptures, quirky objects and bonsai. Own Mountain walks.
Between Jindabyne and Thredbo in the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales, with extensive wildlife: kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, wonderful birdlife, lizards and now deer are in abundance.
Three friendly resident dogs.
Walk to Mt Kosciuszko (highest mountain in Australia) in the Snowy Mountains. Lake Jindabyne is 10min drive away and is great for fishing, swimming, etc. There is super skiing and snowboarding and snow very close and quite often on the property. See you soon for great memories to be made.
Organic/Biological methods we use
We are organic and also use permaculture in the gardens. Craig is absolutely brilliant with his Bonsai. Many many bonsai. Enjoy and love the cool mountain air and our altitude. The deer are having a detrimental affect on our gardens and we are now continually learning and changing what is growing in the gardens, working out what the deer dont eat. Many many wonderful woofers over the last 28 years.

Why I became a WWOOF Host
We have been welcoming wwoofers to Bimblegumbie for the past 25 years and have really enjoyed the whole process of having different nationalities and personalities here. We really miss all the wonderful personalities from different countries due to the Governments change in the Visa applications. We have always loved the exchange of cultures and we all learn from each other in different ways. Many many wwoofers have remained really good friends forever.
