Set on 50 peaceful acres in Traveston, QLD, our property is a growing family homestead with horses, an orchard, veggie gardens, and big plans. It’s a mix of rustic charm and evolving infrastructure — where animals, kids, and nature all live in rhythm. We’re building a space that’s nourishing, purposeful, and full of life.
We became hosts to invite like-minded people into our world — to share the beauty and rhythm of life on the land. We believe in working with our hands, growing real food, raising animals with care, and building something meaningful for our family and community.
This property isn’t just where we live — it’s our legacy in the making. Having help here isn’t just practical; it’s personal. We host to exchange skills, stories, culture, and connection. Whether you’re here for a week or a season, we want it to be memorable, honest, and enriching — for you and for us.
Organic/Biological methods we use
We’re not certified organic, but we follow natural, low-impact practices as much as possible. Our approach is evolving, but grounded in common-sense care for the land and animals.
We avoid synthetic chemicals and aim to use organic, biological, or homemade alternatives where we can. We focus on soil health through composting, natural mulching (sugarcane, straw), and building up garden beds gradually. Animal manure and bedding are reused to support the orchard and gardens over time.
Our horse care also reflects a natural approach — low-stress handling, daily observation, rotational grazing, and minimal chemical use unless necessary for welfare.
We’re not perfect, and we’re not purists — but we are intentional. Everything we do is moving toward a more regenerative, closed-loop system, one step at a time.
