Short Property Description
We are artists / teachers living on a landholding of 16 hectares of conservation bush habitat, with a small orchard and veg garden. We live amongst stunning granite rock outcrops, big night skies, kangaroos and abundant bird life on the traditional Indigenous sovereign lands of the Djab Wurrung & Djardwajali people.
Organic/Biological methods we use
In the veg garden and orchard we practice an organic permaculture approach. In managing the conservation bushland we employ cool Cultural Burning techniques alongside Traditional Owners, to rejuvenate new growth, encourage biodiversity, suppress invasive non-fire tolerant plants, and to reduce excessive fuel load on the land and the threat of destructively hot wildfire.

Why I became a WWOOF Host
We value the exchange that happens when co-habiting on land. We come from backgrounds in University teaching and community engaged creative arts projects. With a lot of experience hosting, and being a guest, we have a pretty refined way of cultivating meaningful and heartfelt exchange founded on mutuality and reciprocity.
We are willing to take the time to share skills and knowledge, and ask our volunteers to do the same, and to courageously meet us to work on the ways of living with this special place.
