I have 8 acres with a creek with a resident platypus. Extensive dry stonework, gypsy caravan, berry bushes, pepper berry trees, chickens. The property is a 12 minutes drive from Launceston. I hold a small music festival in March. WWOOFers with musical experience is handy.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

I’ve always known about WWOOF so finally decided to join after meeting some backpackers from WA who ended up staying here for 6 weeks. It was great to have the company and the final nudge to encourage me to join and look forward to meeting like minded people.

Organic/Biological methods we use

The soil is clay and gravel so I make charcoal and dig it into the soil to improve the soil quality. I don’t use any chemicals and try to be sustainable.

Courses & Events

I have small music venue with various events.

Stone Phoenix music festival March.

Halloween costume party October.

Rasta Christmas Party January.

I would like WOOFers to help on these events plus other tasks around the ‘farm’.
Skills I know and can teach are how to do wood shingles and shakes, and process clay from the earth, if WWOOFers create something they would like to fire I also have a Kiln.
