Jane & John are fantastic hosts and I had a great time staying with them. They are interesting, genuinely warm hearted people who make you feel at home, comfortable, and very welcome. The property was in the development phase during my stay so there was plenty of fun work to get on with: helping construct some fern houses, prepare veggie beds, make paths, repair the chicken coop, planting, composting, mulching, mowing, pruning, and more besides. Jane & John are very knowledgeable about different growing techniques, have many interesting ideas and aren't afraid to try all sorts of things. A great place to learn a lot and be exposed to new ideas. It was great to see the experimental approach as well as learn about some aboriginal practices and stories, as well as the broader life experiences of John & Jane. Thoroughly recommended as hosts - you will enjoy great company, humour, tasty food (and plenty of it), warm & comfortable lodgings, and very peaceful surrounds - the deck's a great place to sit and appreciate where you are. Jane & John are also very generous in helping you explore the local area and encourage you to make the most of your stay on the west coast.
